i like to make my own shift bushing.......does anyone have the correct dimensions on thier aftermarket parts?

I thought about the same thing. But they are really cheap so you might as well buy them.

maybe an explanation to this may help.............I OWE A MACHINE SHOP FOR MILITARY AND AEROSPACE FLIGHT SAFETY PARTS! just thought i can make my own. as as far as the "other" threads".........its a forum!!!!!!!!!! there to get an intellegent opinion on mods. (at least from most)= FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!

aerospace is doing pretty well lately it seems, i sell coordinate measuring machines and right now that industry is buying quite a few machines. or a lot more than the auto industry anyway. do you need a new/used cmm? haha

I didnt take too many measurements when I was installing my bushings, they are 17.9mm round at the top and 5mm thick. I only have a picture when they sent me the wrong bushings but this may help.

CMM's are the way to go today!! We have 3 now and a 3 axis laser. THANKS for the info but i would need overall height, height to larger O.D. and I.D.

u should buy a set of bushings and measure them.

You could sell the bought ones after you make your own. Maybe make many of the bushings and sell them to us.

so lemme get this straight... you want to copy a possibly patented product (havent checked and wont spend time looking into it) without spending a dime?

here... lemme break it down for you

buy the ******* bushings
copy them
sell them on the forum for 5 bucks less. bite the bullet on the shipping.

so u lost 5-10 bux on buying and then selling... but on the bright side... you saved 20 whole US DOLLARS just to make your own.
