Bushing part #s

Hmm, well- my new bushings are in, but the gentleman who did all of the calling to Mazda, ordered the parts, etc- is out until next week. The parts guy that I talked to did his best though, and this is the info that he was able to provide.
The old Mazda # is: BN7H-28-156B
The new one is: BN7H-28-156C
I am having them put on Tues the 19th, so I will update then if anyone is interested.
The fact that there was not a new number issued indicates that there was an engineering change, and not a supplier issue. Hopefully Rev C does the trick.
Laters,

Hey hixtrix,
Thanks a lot for the information. Please keep us updated as how the new bushings work out for you.
Thanks once again.
Take care.

Brought my car in for some alignment work and the dealer - to my surprise (especially since i didn't buy the car there) went ahead and ordered the new bushings and links for the sway bar assembly. They went ahead and changed them for me and since then, no "CLUNK." the squeak is now very minor and only on really bumpy roads - as opposed to every start, stop, and turn. MUCH better. any ideas to get rid of the minor squeak? i can definitely deal w/ it, though.

From what I understand- the squeek results from the fluid in the shocks being cold. On mine, it is worse the colder it gets- but it always gets better as the car warms up. On really cold days it never completely goes away. On warm days (40+) it is gone after 10 miles or less. I can't remember it being a problem in the summer, but I bought the car in Aug, and here, the temperatures begin dropping in the evenings soon after that. Hope this helps! (and correct me if I am wrong)

Hey...Me too I am getting my bushings replaced on Tuesday...they finally arrived...SWEEEEEEEETTTTT...no more clunking....

im taking mine to the dealer. I called them yesterday to check the part numbers and bottom does show up.

Hixtrix,
Did the new bushings fix the squeak? I am really bothered by the noise, and yes, it seems to be a cold weather thing here too, but I think there should be some way to fix it. Just wanted to know if this is a fix, or just another squeaky part.
Thanks buds.

CJ, the new parts fixed the squeaks and "clunk" for me. it still squeaks when i take off roughly, but not nearly as bad. it's hardly noticeable. and it only does that in the morning when it's cold. the clunk is completely gone on my mp3. i just hope it lasts.

The bushings will fix the clunk in the rear end, but as for the squeek, I think it is just the type of shocks. A small price to pay for the performance you get...

cool, just got back from the dealership, the tech at first thought it might be the sub. but then he noticed he could move the sway bar up and down with his hands. my car goes in to be fixed tuesday. and i get a rental.

You should call them asap- they are performance bushings and your dealer will probably not have them in stock. If they order them today you may luck out and have them there by Friday...

Well, I got mine replaced yesterday...no noise up to now...it is covered by your warranty so don't worry...

I talked to Michelle, a lovely sounding Mazda customer service rep, at (800) 222-5500 then press 4-1-1140 (her extension) who is looking into the problem for me. I gave her the part numbers hixtrix gave at the top of the thread, too. She was going to find out if there is a service bulletin on this problem.

I explained that a number of us MP3 owners are on this website and she asked for the URL. Expect company!
