03 P5
I have a 2003 P5 with just over 114, 000 miles. I am burning about 2 quarts of oil full synthetic 10w30 about every 5000 miles> This started just after turning 100,000 miles. I change my oil every 6000 miles since I went synthetic around 25,000. Need help in figuring problem. There is no oil spots on ground and none around engine.

you need a thicker oil.....your car has some miles on it.

Your rings couldbe ****** too....Burnin that shiet up.

When your car starts burning oil, there's really nothing you can do - either live with it (2qts in 5000 miles isn't that bad compared to some), or get a rebuilt engine. Thicker oil isn't really going to help anything if your rings and/or bores and/or valve guides are worn.

Same here, 2 quarts between oil change intervals. I've got about 115,000km's.

I use 5w30 synthetic because it's pretty cold here in the winter.
