Brake Question - Springs

OK so here is my problem. My pads have been making a sqeaking noise so I decided to take a look at them this morning. It appears that one of the springs somehow broke and now one of the pads is completely worn. I have another set of pads, but no spring to replace the broken one. The Mazda dealership said the only way to get one is to buy a brake pad kit from them for $125. Does anyone have any ideas on where to get just the springs?

Sound like they want you to buy there pads. I'll bet you can get that part separately. Call another dealership. Better yet ask to see the microfiche.

Just find your local NAPA, I've picked up a set before for my MX-6 when one of the springs wore out. They're only a few bucks.

Where are you located?
www.car-part.com - searches junkyards in your area. In case you don't find any I have a bunch extra.

I've been calling around to yards in my area and seem to be coming up empty handed. If you have extra I could be interested in getting a couple from you. Let me know what your thinking.
