Brake problem

it seems that something on the car has to warm up before my brake pedal becomes completely stiff. when i crank the car up cold, the brake pedal stops pretty close to the floor, but later as it warms up, it comes back up...

that wud suck. i tap the brake pedal rapidly and lightly sometimes to flash the braking lights when people know their riding my(moon).

if i pump the brakes to the top, and turn the car on with my foot still on the pedal, the pedal should go down and come back up right?

Well... it only takes a quick second to take a peak at your fluid.

Pumping your brakes hard with the car OFF and then turning it on while your foot still on the brake pedal..you will notice it will sink. Thats a sign of a working BRAKE BOOSTER.

Yeah, check vacuum lines and fluid level. Don't sleep on your brake system. Checking your fluid level is probably the most important thing you'll do all week, and def more important then struts...

true. the level is fine i think its moisture. my cars going to hell all kinds of things need checked.

I would drain all the old fluid out (probably still the oem fluid the car came with) and fill it back up with some new stuff, then bleed all your brakes. If that doesn't fix it, then it's most likely your master cylinder.

Pfft.. Don't just look at the level. Look at the color. Stick your non-oily finger to the bottom of the reservoir and see if you got black gunk. Its probably not related to your problem but when inspecting your fluid it should be more than "oh its full, its a-ok".

the dealer. i ordered front and rears for my car. 20 bucks for rear and 10 for the front.

30 bucks for anti rattle clips? I only had to pay a few bucks....from the dealer

i no there like...small pieces. my brakes sound like. "scrruu sccrruuu" "clink clink" "studdllllle studdllllee" cheap compound, free playing pads and somethings clicking when i drive. i push the brakes it goes away.

the stems on the end of the pads have ate a notch in the caliper bracket. anyone think they will continue and bend the new clips into this notch? im stupid...but just remembering the junkyard charges 40 for clips and bracket. I paid 65 for clips n pads i dont need yet.
