150 is my high average. yeah, I do it just for fun, no leagues or anything.

i shot 300 in practice. high sanction game is 289 i shot that like 9 times. league average is 197. 767 high series 246, 289, 232.

Tossed a 299 last season. Threw 12 perfect balls only to see the last shot blow by the 8 pin. I was pretty crushed....especially when some jackass tossed 300 like 3 weeks later with the Ugliest last ball I have ever seen. I ended up finishing the season with a 193 avg.

My highest game was a 288. I had the first 10 in a row and then a solid 10 pin. I tell ya.... my legs were like Jelly by the time I got to 6,7,8. But then lanes were real good to me that night. Can't remember what I shot series, but that was the best game Ive ever rolled. Haven't come close to anything like that since. It was cool too because me and a guy on the other team was going strike for strike. Thing is, hes a pro bowler on the PBA too!!! He ended up stringing 7 or 8 in a row before his single 7 pin spare (equivlant of the right-hander's 10 pin). I bowl 2 nights a week now and average about 170 on each league. Bowl on wood lanes too.

bowled several 300 games, few 800 series!! i got the 298,299,300 and 800 ring!! ABC watch, plaque!! sometimes i tell myself as good and consistent as people say i am. I should really become pro!! my average in any house i bowl at is around 225-230, whenever i bowl league, tournaments, or open bowl!! I have a Tri-wall box of bowling balls in my garage!! the last ball i got is the storm X-factor i sanded it down with 320 and that sucker still hooks with about 15ft of back end. Started out with a colombia 300 (White dot) when i first started bowling now i buy bowling balls left and right and they aint cheap. I'd like to know what balls you all have thrown or use to shoot high scores!! and please don't tell me u used a (House ball). Not to sound like a dick but im probably considered a pro since i bowl for money, just not professionally on T.V. the best i've bowled with a house ball is bout 230-240. If you know bout bowling, there's more 2 it than just renting shoes and picking up a house ball and gettin strikes left and right. "Sorry it aint happening

As an experienced bowler been doing it for 22 years now and i consistently average 220, becoming pro isn't all that easy. On any pro shot you can deduct an easy 40 pins from your avarage right off the bat. I have bowled a regional before and i will tell you that i can average 220 on any house shot(mainly because 99%of house shots are dead easy) And i only averaged 187 on the pro shot. There is 0 room for error on a pro shot. And bowling for money doesn't make you a pro....i have bowled many times for money, and i am just a good house bowler and would stand no chance on the pro circuit. Anyway the lastest 300 i threw was with the hammer pain. Previous balls i used were storm erase it, 3d hammer, storm el nino, among about 20 others i can't remember at the moment. P.S. nobody likes a guy who brags.....

Then you are like me and would Know that we are regional PBA bowlers!! Still considered a PRO. BTW: what regional tournament did you bowl at, how many rounds and games did u bowl and how much did you pay??

glad you bumped this thread... I finally got my first ball a month ago its a reactive scout, man when i first started using it my average dropped from 170 to 120, but i finally got it back up the other week and bowled a new high score of 210.

That's nice 2 hear, Glad u got a new ball and a new high game. But u shoulda got a Colombia 300 Hijinx or Apogee. That would have been a better ball 2 start out with. U probably paid around 80-120dollars for the ball. But if u paid more than u got screwed. Hopefully ur game improves and u establish a higher average.

This is crazy I never have seen this thread. Come to my house Triton and I will have you begging for a house shot. The shot I put out last year dropped our best bowlers average from 230+ to 190. The league bowlers called the USBC 5 times on me cause they said the shot was illegal.

Whats a shot? and yea i only paid 90 for the ball, but i got the inserts and all that good stuff along with it. I tried using other balls before like dyno thane and back yard bully that my buddy has and those dont match my style at all since, I dont really have that much hook on my ball but with the scout my ball hooks more and goes really nice with the way I bowl.

The only complaint I have about it is that it sucks on wet lanes

I got all kinds of prizes and tropies...I don't know how because I suck! I always manage to get a freak game once a season. One freak game, I had 6 strikes in a row. The entire league knows how bad I am so by the time I hit 5 strikes, the entire league stopped bowling to watch. We have this rule that all players must stop bowling once a bowler bowls 7 strikes out of respect to have a perfect game...but since the league knows I suck, at 5 strikes, they all stopped to watch...talk about pressure! LOL After that, I couldn't even get the damn ball to stay on the board! Put it this way...I currently have a 84 handicap. I've actually gone as high as 97 handicap LOL!!!! At least I got free bowling balls hehe.

A shot is the oil pattern. You can do all types of fun stuff with the pattern to frustrate and confuse bowlers.

I just finished our season, finished with a 180 avg. That is up 8 pins from last year, so I can't complain. I thought I would have a better year, but oh well.
