I have a hybrid, works ok with the occasional pop.... no issues with it, but if I did it again, I'd go full recirc. Mine doesn't have the option.
it won't increase boost, per se, but it can help hold boost if the stocker is leaky (and a lot of them are)
any type of VTA (even hybrid) will cause you to run rich(er) between shifts. That said, I do love the sound!
All stockers by design DO NOT close 100%. unfortunately the car was designed and is calibrated to run that way.
yeah, their youtube comparisons are very misleading, HKS and tial make really good products but synapse claims the valve system in HKS and tial bovs is far inferior to their poppet system... which is just not true.
+1. I saw one of the tests, STi with a Synapse running VTA on an STI with the "anti stall", and it sounded like the motor just wanted to crawl into a hole and die a quiet death alone.
Several posts have mentioned the stock BOV "leaking" or not holding boost at "high" levels...anyone have some firm data on this or logs showing sustained WOT with boost level drops ?
Whoever told you that gave you some bad information.
