BOV Question

New owner here, I am considering the Forge BOV. I just added the BEGI cool air intake and am kinda dissapionted in the lack of sound from it. Does not seem to add any growl to the car, just turbo sounds(which is growing on me).

This is my first turbo vehicle, so my question is, what can I expect both sound and performance wise from a aftermarket BOV??

Thanks!

Wish I could help you, I'm still looking for a bpv. I like forge and hear good things about it. But I don't like the ching noise it makes. I like how our stock valve sounds but i want to hold boost better.

anything you get that runs recirc will be louder than stock...my hks sounds different than stock valve but its nto a huge difference...only tru gain from this mod should be holding pressure not sound...

+1 on the HKS!!!

The HKS will add a little flutter to your intake sound...but pretty much its the same basic sound.

Performance improvements will be holding boost much better, quicker recovery in between shifts, and making your turbos life easier...

I absolutely love the Forge. Fits exactly like stock, the sound is good (ching is exaggerated), and it does hold boost better than the stock BPV. Price wise, you can't beat it.

Your not going to get any extra growl out of an intake on a turbocharged car. Intakes only do that on Naturally Aspirated vehicles. BPV isn't going to help either.

You won't get a growl. It'll be more like a rushing of air, hissing sound as the turbo starts sucking. I love my Forge BPV. It's got a high pitched metallic venting sound, sort of similar to when a semi's air brakes vent, but higher pitch.
