Bored with life?

Have any of you ever just become bored with your life? I tend to do the same thing every weekend. Friday night is at the track or a friends house playing halo, saturday is out at the cruise. Sunday i sleep till 2 unless theres an auto-x i can go watch because im to poor to buy extra tires. I'm thnking its time for a new hobby but i have absolutely no idea what. Anybody ever felt this way?

BTW this isnt a b**** about life thread lifes great, just a tad dull at times lately.

You should try mixing things up a bit by altering your routine and/or trying new things. Excerise always helps with me or going for a drive.

Get outside and do something with nature involved. I went hiking today on a nice trail that follows a creek for 7 miles. It was awesome. People were swiiming in the creek and sunbathing, rock climbing, running, mountain biking(even mountain unicycling(boom01)). Every once in a while a friend of mine will suggest we go to a park or something, and I am reminded how cool it is to chill with nature sometimes, and get a little excercise as well.

Hi TX! I can understand where your coming from. It seems like I do the same thing every week and weekend. Life is good to me, just a little boring. I'm married and have a son that's 4yrs old, they demand alot from me. I go to the gym 4 or 5 days a week to get rid of some stress and stay in shape. I've been thinking about starting boxing for the exercise and to improve hand eye coordination. I don't know what to tell you about hobbies and stuff, because I'm trying to find something to do as well that doesn't cost alot. It's always around this time of year that I get a little anxious for summer to hurry up and get here. If I could get my hands on a few million dollars, I think I could help you out. If your the active type, then check out a community center for some fun sports and meet new people. I've actually gone so far as to take a very part time job with crap pay to see what life throws my way. If I didn't like the job then I'd just quit, no loss to me, ya know? Just a couple of ideas for you. Anyway later and peace.

well stop playing halo for starters that game ruins lives..haha. save yer money and buy a Auto x beater. like an old miata, or mr2. then you have something to work on thats not expensive and fun to do and if you mess something up..oh well. thats what i did, me and a buddy of mine each spent $150 on an old starion, that needs s*** tons of work. we have rebuilt the entire engine/trans/ turbo/ and only spent about $200 altogether. the car runs and sounds mean as hell!! it still needs ALOT of work but having done everything on the car making it run again and actually getting to drive it is amazing and ive learned so much at the same time. definitly alotta fun. plus if you do it with a friend it makes it that much better

Man, that is amazing. How the hell did you rebuild all that stuff for just 200? My friend and I were talking about how it would be sweet to have a starion. Awesome that you got it for just 300 as well.

ya well my friend Brian knows his s*** and his dad has his own shop, me well thats another story..haha. he showed me how to do everything pretty much and i learned so much my head hurt. ya the Starion was a pile of crap when we bought it. it still looks bad but runs like new. the motor only had 120k on it too.. i would say it wasa great deal. if you really want one i can possibly help. check out www.starquestclub.com thats were we saw the deal. you'll find the parts are rare but dirt cheap! but you can get anytype of older car for around that price. we were going to buy an 84 12a RX-7 for $250 that need way less work and would have been just as much fun... but then we are both rotor noobs.haha

You need to find an inexpensive hobby, something that interests you, and something that doesnt cost too much to do (aka car). I go through phases because I noticed about 8 months ago that I was getting terribly bored with my life as a whole. I hated my job, my g\f and friends stopped being interesting to me, and I couldnt find anything that sounded fun. I just got..., well slumped, and I realized I had to do something about it. I now have to shake up my routine a bit from time to time. The lady and I (now my fiance) do things on a regular basis, and do inexpensive things at that, and we have a blast. I love being with her more than anybody just like I used to. We go bowling, buy eachother something from time to time even if it is something stupid (those are the most fun gifts!). I go race karts once a month or so, but my big helper was working out and running. It gives me time to think about everything, how my week is going, upcoming events, with no interruptions from anything or anyone. Its what I use to clear my head and refresh myself. A punching bag helps take care of stress ALOT also. Good luck!
