BomZ Short Ram Intake

I know there is stuff out there about BomZ or "ebay" intakes and all, and I am wondering who actually has a BomZ intake? Are they worth it? I am thinkin about getting an Injen orr AEM later, but I dont have the money for it right now, so i was thinkin about gettin this one until i cud get a name brand.

There was just a thread on this last night. I think youll be fine on getting it and replacing the air filter later.

I got one for chirstmas last year, works great, but you loose a little on the low end, but it works great on the highway, which is where we do most of our driving, so it works out in the end. I just switch to a blitz airfilter w/heatshield. pretty sweet.

I dont know about loosing low end. I installed an Injen and didnt notice any loss of low end, never noticed any gains either...

i got mine off ebay, shoulda ordered it on the website cuz its like 10 bucks cheaper, oh well, mines due in tomorrow so if i get a chance to put it ill post pics and my opinions on the results

is there a difference btwn the protege and protege 5 cold air intakes? i found an injen for 239 but it just says 2.0 engine. (protege garage) and then at autoanything it has a drop down menu to select "protege 5"

so i was wondering if there is a difference and if not why is there that separate option at autoanything

I got my bomz intake today from ebay. Really disapointed, the box had a huge tear in it and the box looked totally beat up. My filter is red but everything else is blue. Lol there was a reason I bid on the one that was pictured in red

leave negative feedback, or threaten the seller to leave neg feedback...they will probably replace it for a red one.

38 dollars for an intake...i think its worth it even if i only get sound.

its a cool sound. makes our lil econo box have some mean ass growl lol

i just have my filter hooked up to the stock intake and it does sound meaner, im just worried about the temp sensor cuz right now i just have it sitting in the bottom of the stock air box while the filter is held down to the bottom of the airbox with zip ties, its temporary but I wanted to have the nice sound cuz im taking it up in the twisties tonight. Will this be ok until Im able to get a more permanent setup? Im mostly worried about the air temp gauge as i hear the batter wont charge without it hooked up. Dont know if thats true?
