2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand touring Blower motor does not run. I've replaced the blower motor, the blower motor resistor, checked the fuses...no luck. Is there anything else I should be looking at?
THanks for the answer. I stopped replacing parts...LOL! I checked for DTC's - none at this point. THis is a Automatic Temperature control vehicle - does that play into why I might not have any fan at all? In answer to your suggestion, I have tested the power at the connections to the resistor, the motor and the harness where those to merge and dive to the back side of the Climate control unit. I might just give up and pass this off to my mechanic - much better diagnostician than I. Thanks again - have a great weekend. Cheers from San Diego.Look at the wiring and the voltages at various points of the circuit. Maybe look at the wiring diagram for your car and see what else participates in the circuit. Stop replacing parts until you know the root cause or at least have it narrowed down.
Regardless, it is unusual that it doesn't run at all. Usually the system is designed to fail where at least fan will run at max speed when told to run on high, and only on high or off. This leads me to believe you have no power at all going into the circuit. You really can't figure out modern cars without a wiring diagram and at least a multimeter.
My bad, and apologies. I posted in the CX-5 section.BTW, you're also in the Mazda5 forum. The one for CX-5 might be more better for you.
