Gonna have to say Smokey and the Bandit. The Trans Am driven by Burt Reynolds. That car is (rockon).

Yea, I saw they were coming out with a new Mad Max. I don't know what they are going to use for vehicle, they crashed all of the good ones. You look back at Road warrior and the truck with the dead guy strapped to the bumper. First use of N02 that I ever saw.

Then there is ronin. My brother-in-law and I drug our wive to it just to watch the chase scenes. They didn't get. They were so upset because they never got to see what was in the breafcase.

I guess they just don't get it.


Oh and here a couple that I haven't seen mentioned yet. The batman chase scenes. The first two with that big black rocket car. I didn't realy like the other cars.

There was another movie that I saw. I can't remeber the actors or the name, but they had a rocket strapped into the back of a bright red firebird that they used to make a big jump in.

There are so many fun car movie out, you would think that this county was obsessed with they vehicles.

I also remeber the "Bandit" with the Stealth. What about VIPER? The show that had a viper that could change into a super Viper or something....it had lots of other cool cars in it. Sponsered by Dodge...every other car was a dodge.

Yeah I remember that show...it was basically a ripoff of Knight Rider. The car had the special bullet proof shell that came out when they were in danger. heh. I'll take Kit over that thing any day.

Anyone see the newest Herbie movie? It went straight to video about two years ago. I saw it at the movie store and decided to rent it. Herbie has to race against his evil twin, a black pimped out bug with ground effects n stuff. Cheesy, but good for a laugh or two.

KITT. You want to see a riced out car, but what they did in the later seasons with all the wings and s*** that would come off the car for going real fast. And everyone thought it started in the Japanees market.

what about ronin?...i know there wasnt cars everywhere but the audi s8 (or was it a rs6?) with the twin nos bottles in the back was sexy and kit was the s***..i had the bike and lunch box when i was little....plus he didnt need to change his clothes to be bullet proof....he already was! and dont dis super speed mode....he took off like a jet but still bounced and rolled like a buick ?!?! and it was a ****** automatic.....boooo.....

I agree with AGR, Grand Prix and Le Mans are the two best pure auto racing movies made. Incidently, Le Mans is now available on DVD from:

There is also a relatively new movie out called "Landspeed" with Billy Zane. The title says it all. Although the movie didn't do well commercially, it is kind of interesting because it is the only movie that I know of about this kind of racing.
