What do you think is the best? I am going with an Alpine one. It has XM capabilities (although you have to buy separately), easy to use, remote, and 4 volt preouts. Sorry, but I don't have a model number.

Can't go wrong with alpine, even their lower end decks seem to hold up pretty well. You could get more features for the money, but the Alpine is better quality all around.

if you went w/ kenwood, the sirius "brain" is free and all you have to do is buy the antenna.......

For 200$ it's really tight to get a lot of features *and* good SQ. It's like we say in engineering...fast, reliable, cheap...pick 2. That's true of most products.

Alpine's good though...have you looked into the CDA-9827 or 9807 (i forget which is the older model)? I think you should be able to find that one on clearance and it's got a lot of great features.

Also...be wary of buying online. Try to buy from some place reliable, because if something goes wrong (which it often does) you'll want that warranty backup.

True, but you also have to prepay a year's subscription. (Although the deal right now is 15 mos. for the price of 12!)
not the whole year, you "verbally" sign a 1yr contract.......i making mine in 4 payments. plus it's $6 for the 2nd car.......

they also do lifetime for $400, but you have to pay that at 1x all of it...(omg)

Yeah, I can't see paying $400. What if I get a new car soon? Will they transfer the account to another HU?

I had a Kenwood CD player previously and although it was a reliable unit, the Alpine blew it away as far as SQ is concerned. I don't need sirius radio and want features like 4V preouts, ease of use, ergonomics, reliability, and so forth.

kenwood excelon series has been the most ease of use ive ever had. especially last years models, with the spin volume and the push of a button option screens

alpine = non best looking
pioneer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sony = comit suicide imediatly
