BEGI kit install=minor problems on MP3

I just spoke with Corky and turns out that all have been reviewed and have solution.
1. Corky is getting his hands on the gasket at the kat to check the drill holes and will adjust as needed.
2. The downpipe is being modified to allow for the O2 sensors hieght.
3. They never use a gasket between the manifold and the Turbo since they will be prone to blow out. They machine the turbo inlet and manifold flat on all of their kits to get a perfect seel.

All of these problems are being remadied and will be solved before more are shipped including mine that should be on its way by next week.

Once again, "Go Corky!"

I am glad it all worked out for you. Corky called me this morning to take a few measurements to make sure your fitment issues are resolved. Looks as if the MP3 downpipes need slight tweeking since your 02 sensor is slightly longer. Good luck!

Yeah Wshade that was what they were trying to do and the o2 sensor did not clear the watsegate. I thought about it and figured where else could the pre-cat o2 sensor go? Because before it went into the old manifold. Corky is pouring me a new pipe and shipping it next day air. The pipe must have turned during casting to put the o2 sensor in a bad place...so the dealership was right on the install and hopefully it will be ready tomorrow..

I guess I was the MP3 gennie pig for this kit. Now the install is going on 5 days... but I will be boosting tuesday!!!

It is in the same place. When I spoke to Corky this morning he advised me that I must have been drinking or something. Sorry for the scare! Actually, believe it or not, I am fairly competent. Most of the time :D

Yeah I was pissed after you said that that wasn't the place where the o2 sensor was suppose to go...glad I cooled off and thought about it for a sec.

Yeah the holes were a little small but that was no problem just drilled them bigger.

I'm glad my pain and agony helped someone from going through the same.;)

Quick question. Cost? (Covered before I know, but I don't have a lot of time to search right now cause i have a week of catching up to do here at home with bills, and to-do-stuff)

Man I am so seriously considering buying this kit. I am tired of being taken by these six cylinder bullies and hounded by these GMC monster trucks. Not that many twisties in VA to show em what this car can do.....(scratch) well there have been a few cases(getsome)..yeh...but anyhow....I need a full kit. I don't have a garage to work on it myself but could borrow one for a day or two to work on it. Shops over here are only here to rip you off for an install ($800) (nuts) is what I say to that. I would definetly want to go with spoolins starter kit but too many things to piece together specially the pipes(stoned) not that pipe I mean the ones for the intercooler, from the intake manifold...etc. So Portcity man.....hook up a quick dyno once you get a chance to get a (hump) in ur (bluemp3). See if the kit really comes through. Thanks.

man I feel like I just read a Dr Seuss short story with all those smilies. But there are plenty of good roads in VA, take the 66 out past Tysons Corner and there are plenty of good backroads. Also there's Scenic Dr. outside of Blacksburg (it's a bit of a drive but well worth it, the road looks like it belongs in a car commercial). Also take a ride down to UVA, great scenery to take your girlfriend to see and great roads for you to drive on (I took my last gf there in the spring.......lots of twisty roads.......all covered by a canopy of tree tops......all in bloom in the spring........that means 80mph and flower blossoms everywhere......yeah.......I know.......I'm pimp).(thumb)

lol....the off-topic stuff starts........j/k

Actually have taken some of those roads, went to school at UVA a couple of years ago. The roads past Tysons have plenty of :D factor. I usually take Georgetown pike and then sometimes the road going the opposite direction from Gtown on the C&O canal. My problem is, there is no one following me or challenging me then :( .....only on the straights on 28 and 66 is where all these guys hangout waiting to (flame2)....cuz they know...they got a chance there. Infact I come across this dude on a regular basis when I go to work with his 02 Maxima. Were even until 35mph then he just pulls, (piss) 'n all over me.

Our (bluemp3) 's ZOOMZOOMzooooom is kind of (no) until of course we get force (beer)....Then I hear we leave a lot of people going (omg) .

Hey, I was just as animated except due to lack of graphic expression, I had to rely on characters. But you can check out my previous posts if your really want to know what I sounded like.... since you are so interested ;)
