He could probably do 3.50 per person public unranked and 3 per person private unranked. EA cut most of the little guys out on the ranked end of BF2.

Yea, that link is for our West coasters. I just put up a general link for peopl to get it.

The server is not going to happen. Mainly because people will have different pings. For example, if you have the server set up at East coast, then I'm not going to pitch in for me to play on 120+ ping. Vice Versa..
Secondly, I rather play on a ranked server than unrank, because I rather have a goal for me to work towards with (my ranks, unlock guns) than wasting my time killing same ppl again and again. If I want to do that, I'll just hop in counter strike pub servers.

However, what we could probably do is set up a Ventrilo or teamspeak (some sort of voice com program) server and people can join in whenever they're going to play. In that case, there would be different chat rooms for the appropriate coast line. Hence, voice com usually don't require low ping to be heard (might have delay, but usually it's still audible).

On the same note, I'm mad that they did not add the buddy feature in, that would make everything much easier. In addition, apprently they change the ranking system. I just got moved up 2 ranks after I killed 2 ppl...

It would depend on how many of the forum members want to pitch in. Say 50 of the forum members wanted to do this the cost was 19.99 the cost would be 0.40 per member.

Yea, I was refering to the total cost (including discount you can get) for renting a com program. So I assume $19.99 monthly is what we're looking at?

It would depend on the number of slots required. If 100 people jump in on this than of course it would be more. Maybe we should start a GI: msprotege.com ventrilo server thread? Quick edit, this could be broken down into any game or topic. Suchas- Counter Strike, DOD, BF1942, BF2 or support channels for people who need help installing guages or anything of that matter.

so what youre trying to say is you actively use the noob tube as much as possible while hopping around in counterstrike like fashion?

i never bunny hop. i like people who bunny hop though, easier to hit them with t3h bullets. i also just use the n00b tube when its small killing radius will actually net me like 2-3 kills. i love it when guys are all huddled up lovey-lovey fashion : )

I logged in and my progress bar was maxed out. After I killed 2 people I moved up two ranks.

heh. i'm first seargeant now!! omg it's sick haha i got all the unlocks but one gun. they kinda made them too easy in my opinion.i got like 4 ranks and 4 unlocks it was amazing also got some ribbons and badges.

Mine is all wacked up. My profile says I'm a Sergeant now, but when I'm actually in game I'm back to Private, yet I'm able to use all the guns I unlocked. In addition, while playing I keep getting bunch of metals and ribbons I've gotten already (because of noob status).

Here's a pretty good site to check your stats. The stats are pretty close to whats reflecting in your bfhq. Only downside is that it doesn't show if you currently are in game or not.

The bf2s site is really slow. You have to wait in a huge queue for your stats to be retrieved. Just another site to check out your stats during your lunch break.
