Bastian's P5 on a college budget

They're still amber, it's just a weird angle I guess. The bulb is orange but the lens is clear, so from in front they appear orange but to the side they're clear

nice simple build! i painted a cup holder piece flat black out of boredom. it turned out well. i didn't like it at first but it has grown on me

nope. it woulda been pink otherwise. I was hoping that wouldn't come across sarcastically.
I really think they look better than steelies. Steelies look so ghetto lol

lol yeah the lack of pink had me confused

but thanks, I think they just give the car a freshened look, it looked so old and ugly with the steelies hahaha

I thought some progress comparison pictures would be cool... back from when I first got the car compared with now

Before (but with new stereo)

That and you don't have the problem you would with traditional bras.... It can rain all it wants and no water gets trapped. I actually just picked up a "le bra" off of another member on here, but I'm mainly using that for road trips

Dude i wanna see this thing in person.. We should try to organise a p5 / mazda meet somewhere in central MA. I'm located in worcester, if your ever around here there's pretty good meets hosted by some friends on hondasofnewengland. Usually really good turn outs and not all Hondas.

Tho it would be cooler to meet up with some fellow p5 owners. Let me know!

That would be sweet, I'm about an hour and a half from worcester...

The car really isn't anything too exciting though, just a car with a few dents, some rust and hubcaps (2thumbs)

same picture but I blacked out the headlights and emblem, fixed the fog lights and removed the pin stripe. I have way to much fun in photoshop...

I'm thinking of selling my subs and getting a 10" sub and building a fiberglass enclosure for it in the corner of the trunk... My current set up is taking up about 50% of my trunk space, which is bad when I'm trying to cart around my team and all of their equipment. That and 2x12" is a bit overkill ;)

I'm looking at this right now... http://www.crutchfield.com/p_13610W1V24/JL-Audio-10W1v2-4.html?tp=111
With about another $100 for materials, I'm looking at about $260 for a new set up.

What do you guys think about a single 10" in a P5? I typically have my music at "normal" listening volumes, but every now and then me and my buddies like to be stereotypical obnoxious teenagers ;)

Also curious if anybody is in the MA area that enjoys working with fiberglass, as this would be my first time doing so
