Bad Tire Wear

I am getting tired of having to buy new tires ever 15,000 miles. What can i do to fix the tires from wearing on the inside so badly. I know theres a camber kit for the rear but its also going on in the front. I do have a 2" drop and i know that just makes it worse but theres gotta be a way to fix this. Would a dif rim with dif offset fix it or at least lessen the wear? and if so what offset would that be... if not what other solutions are there to this problem besides putting the stock springs back in.

2" drop lol i'll just repeat it again ALIGNMENT NOW! Your probly gonna need cam bolts to correct your problem, so start your research

I had it alligned the second i put the drop on it and once more a couple hundred miles ago. Its not the toe that is bad, its the camber. I know they make a camber kit for the rear but what im wanting to know is if i can fix the problem by gettin some new rims with a certain offset and maybe fix or at least lessen the wear. I have a few pics of the tire wear. You can definitely see in the first picture where most of the weight is and how my rims sit.

daaaaaaaaaaaamn man!! What kinda rims you riding on now w/ wut tire size & what kinda offset you wanna ride on?....I mean messing with the offset might not do much of what u want to achieve i dunno i think its more then the offset, but i think more then anything you gotta get that camber fixed and at least semi straighten that wheel w/ how it hits the ground

Isnt Camber the inward outward tilt of a tire at the top. a tire that tilts out at the top has positive camber. One that tilts in at the top is negative camber which is what it seems that i have. Which is why most of the weight is on the inside of the tire and eating too much of the tire too quickly on the inside. 205/50/17 stock rims is what im on right now. Yeah i know the offset wouldnt do alot but i was thinking that it might help out some. Is there some way of adjusting the camber in the front.

Alright ive searched and searched and the search is yeilding no helpful results.
What all size tires will fit on the stock 17" rims. I want to go a little more low profile than 205/50 but all the 205/40's that i find say they will not fit on a 6.5" wide wheel. Can anybody suggest some tire sizes that are within $450 for a set. Thanks much. I think i saw somwhere that 225/40's would work, is that right and also how well will these fit?

The tires footprint does not show much camber at all, not to say it dosen't have *some*, but alot of camber is quite noticable.

camber alone will not shred a tire like that in 15k miles, it would take MUCH more mileage than that. What you have is camber coupled with bad toe.

Take it back and have it re-aligned. Putting new tires on an already bad alignment is just going to shred the new tires as well, no matter what size.

205 will certainly fit a 6.5" rim, thats what the stock wheel is and your running those right!?

a 225 should be mounted to a rim no less than 7" (preferably 7.5") but others have used a 225 on the stock 6.5" wheels with decent results. This will tend to give more tire rollover, even with a stiff sidewall, as there's less wheel to support it, compared to .5" or 1" more on a wider wheel. (even .5" makes a big difference)

225/45/17 is the correct size, it's within .2" or .3" of the OEM size.

Although buying new tires will solve your problem.

So it just wasnt alligned properly? Thanks for the help man really appreciate it. So i guess i will take it to the dealership next time to get an allignment. Oh yeah and how often should i get an allignment?

Obviously i can't say 100% for sure it wasn't done properly, anything could have happened, but dude, cords are showing...

re-alignment should be done after any suspension work (depending on the level of parts removed/loosened etc) and when ya get new tires it's always a good idea to have it re-aligned.

It should be checked atleast once a year. But if you're like me and race alot, then an alignment is done almost weekly....lol

the real question is, *where* did he get his alignments done and what were the readings?
