Hey,

I wanna get a P5 once I get my license sumtime during march. Anyways I wanna get a P5 a Silver one and wanna get about 200 - 250 hp out of it. I am planning to put an cold air intake, full exhaust system, and turbo. Now how much hp will the turbo that is gonna come out give me and how else can i get about 200 - 250 hp or even more than that .

Thx :D

There are a few turbo kits out there. Currently FM/BEGI, tripoint and Spool offer kits for the car.
You can check in the forced induction forum regarding hp numbers that should be expexted from each kit.

Currently we (Spool) offer a non-intercooled kit and will have an intercooled kit available in the next month or so.

At the same time an engine managment system should also be available for the turbo kits that will allow for 250 whp figures.
I currently run on my car 203 whp and 213llbs of torque at 7.5 psi of boost. When we get our engine managment out in the market 250whp should be attained by allowing to run 10psi of boost on a stock block

damn spoolin. is the stock tranny going to be able to hold that amount of power. i know we would need atleast a better clutch. but can the tranny internials handle that.

The World Challenge cars are putting 240 to the ground and run basically a stock tranny (gears 3, 4 and 5 are the only difference...The WC cars have been known to break the things in the tranny.

Well there's two main things I'd do to attain those nummbers:

1. As many stickers as you can put on it. The stickers witht he most horsepower are the "Type R" sticker next to the mazda emblem, and the "Nike Swoosh"

2. Get a bodykit that consists of three colors-Black-primer-and white.

hehe :p j/p listen to spoolin, he'll take care of you.

Yes this is also another means of getting that hp:p

Can our tranny's reliably hold 250 whp? Depends on how you drive? If you have no mechanical empathy for the car and drag race at every light, I bet the tranny will last 2 months with that type of power. I baby my tranny. No smokey burnouts and smooth shifts. With this hp level a new clutch and LSD are a MUST!

My car is making serious torque. I can light up the tires in all of 2nd gear on a cool night and anyone who has had a ride in my car can attest to that. And I have had no tranny problems. I have an ACT clutch and the axles or joints are starting to make a noise under heavy accel, but these parts are cheap to replace. Oh and get ready to change tires every 5000-10000 miles with moderate driving at this hp level. I consider that a good thing;)
