Awesome Springs!!

Ok I have tried GC coilovers on my car, was not happy with the rattling and feel. Then I tried Intrax's gave a nice drop but was alittle on the stiff side. The H&R's were horrindous and did not give a decent drop. Eibachs have the retarded front higher than the back and then there are the cheap ass drop zones and rice crap. I have found the light!!!!! I have been searching for some cool springs for our cars and found a manufacturer hear localy. They specialize in race car chassis building, suspension and make springs for our cars. They are made to the demanding industry standards like eibach ect. Well I finagled my way into tring out a set on my car and holy s***!!! These things are awesome!!! They lower the car 2 inches all around, handle like a dream and the best part ride like the stock MP3 springs. I am gonna post pics soon. I am working out a distributorship with the guy now and the pricing looks promising

I've found all of those things true with each type of springs so um, yeah give me price and the springs now x.x

Did it improve handling? If so, are you SURE??? If so, by how much?

Also, are they adjustable height?

and last but not least....did you mount these springs on stock struts or aftermarket.....and if so....which struts are you using?

These are regular aftermarket springs just like eibach ect. They are not height adjustable since they are springs not coilovers. They lower the car 2 inches all around and give a nice firm feel like the stock mp3 suspension however they are not harsh like the H&R's ect. If you already have aftermarket springs I would not reccomend changing them since....well you already have lowering springs!!

These are mounted on my stock mp3 struts. They greatly improve the cars handling due to the lower center of gravity and less roll. Do I have scientific raw data to back this up?....No I dont but they definetly handle better than stock. They are presicion wound and shot peened in and out for increased strength and durabilty. They are powder coated with a special trick epoxy powder coating in a blue that matches the electron blue on the mp3.
I spoke to the gentleman today after I finished installing them. I am under the impression that they are manufactured at his plant here locally. I will keep ya'll updated on this but definetly will sell these.
They will be roughly in the 199 price range.
And they are amazing. I just took a fellow MP3 owner for a ride that owns one with H&R springs and he was simply amazed by the supple ride and handling.

No offense to anyone elses opinion here but I really dig my GC's. The feel is great and I hear no noise at all. Better yet, I can adjust the height according to wheel size, whether, racing, and show's.

LOL on a serious note smp3000 you haven't experienced any clanking problems? Did you do anything to aleviate this? My GC's were driving me mad. Sounded like my car was a real beater.

Yes, I have a wierd clunk in the front right area, it just started this week, and I'm not sure what it is. I'll take a look at it this weekend. I've done some testing while driving and have almost completely ruled out spring, or strut. I think it may be the sway bar. But we'll see... I've had the GC's on for over 6 months.

My SN are my initials SMP.. The 3000 is just an added number, but was come up a few years back as my contact name for many things. It's also my website www.smp3000.net.

I kinda quite doing freelance stuff ever since I got a full time job-because of time issues. But I still do things here and there.

I can't wait to get my track time in. Then I can scan uin my slips and be the "unofficial fastest MP3" until you scan in your sli[ps or anyone else for that matter. I figure in order to contend you at least need slips to show for it. hehe (smash)

Im guessing it would be the same as any other spring install, which could be done by you with the right tools. Just take the old springs out, stick the new ones in. simple. only specialized tool you'd need is a spring compressor which is like 25 bucks from an auto supply store (pep boys, autozone, etc.)

i'm very interested in these, but i need to know something very important...will these blow my factory(non-mp3) struts? i will be autocrossing with these and i can't risk blowing struts.

its gonna be hard enough convincing my dad about letting me buy springs, i have to assure him these will not damage anything...

It will work with factory struts but keep in mind the spring rates are different than stock springs. This will put increased wear and tear on the car. If you want longevity on the struts you can buy upgraded tockico's ect that come on the mp3. The mp3 can utilize these springs on the stock struts without accelerated wear.
Just bear in mind when upgrading anything to performance the life span is shorter....ahh the price we pay to go fast and look good...lol

maybe i should have stated this earlier, but i will be removing the aftmkt springs in august and putting the stocks back in. i've been told by a reliable source that the struts won't blow if i autocross them once a month until then(and have them on all the time).

what's your take guys?
