Can I have some updates on mpg with the awd models? Do you think there was a break in period with his car to see the best mpg?

I have had mine about a week and I feel like my mpg is low. I understand that I got the awd version but I am only see about 26.. Any thoughts?

I get about 27 in mostly rush hour traffic. The mpg did increase some over the break in period. I now have just over 3000 km.

Under what kind of conditons are you getting this mpg? (city, highway, commmute traffic, hills, flat, etc.)

I'm averaging 26.2 in mostly heavy commute traffic and busy suburban traffic. Some freeway miles on weekend at 75+mph.

I've got about 4000 miles on mine. Touring Model, Tech & Bose, AWD, I am averaging 28.4 (per computer) since I bought it (Late June).
This includes 3 extended (300+) mile freeway trips. On on my first fill up ( a return trip from Sacramento CA to Los Angeles, 400+ miles) I got 31.7, calculated by hand.

A second extended trip from Los Angeles to Kings Canyon (280+miles) with the car fully loaded and a Thule Evolution roof box on, I calculated at 28.7. The return from Kings Canyon brought slightly better mileage at 29.4.

I typically have the average mpg on the computer at 28.3. It tends to drop if my wife drives it, then rebounds when I drive.
I'd say my mix is 65% local city driving with little trraffic, and 35% freeway at 67-72mph, cruise is always set on fwy trips of more than a couple of miles

I have about 4300 miles , mostly all from my commute which is 85% hwy/ 15% city. I do 100% city on the weekends so I've been avg. at around 28 ish mpg. I also use the cruise control a lot and don't drive past 65mph on the highways.

I was about to add to this conversation but am guessing you're on about Petrol mpg so my UK Diesel mpg would be useless!

I get around 24 around town and 30 was my best on the highway. Sitting at 2500 miles right now. Not super impressed with the mileage, but still much better than my 2010 F150 was. This is driving good in the city/back and forth to work with mostly VERY SHORT trips (under 2 miles). Highway was on a 340ish mile trip cruising at mostly 70mph. I'll expect more after the first oil change.

I have 7000 miles on my AWD Gas version and definitely the mpg increased. I drive pretty much the same way on every tank. Average 37 mph, mostly suburban driving on flat to slightly hilly terrain. Mostly with my two young kids or alone. I hit a stoplight every couple miles. I also take a couple highway jaunts (75 miles) per tank at around 72 mph. I don't baby it but I don't do anything drastic to save gas... I started at around 27 mpg and now get around 29 mpg...

If I take the family on a trip and do mostly highway I get around 27.5 mpg. This is due to the extra weight and the 70-75 mph average plus the need to pass cars going slow on the ThruWay. A couple of the early trips were 26.5 mpg.

I believe this car hits it stride with the type of driving I do - suburban... Not too much highway and not too much city...
This car might get great mileage on the highway but it would have to be a slower mph average (maybe about 55-60mph). But once you start passing cars and averaging 70+mpg the gas mileage suffers. It seems most city drivers with this car suffer as well. But then so would a person with a Honda Pilot...
