Auto Insurance w/ MSP

Don't get a DUI/DWI, be involved in multiple accidents, or have wreckless driving or other moving violations and you'll remain insurable in the standard market. Being under 25 with any of those issues will just open up a whole new level of whup ass when it comes time find coverage and pay the premium.

31 Male California. Terrible record including suspended licence.
Full coverage on MSP , Liability on GTX $151/MO $1000 Deductible.

lol because of this thread i called my ins company today and lowered my deductible to $500 on both cars...ins only went up about $13 total a month

19, Florida, male. Full coverage. Unsure about my record because my only speeding ticket (it was a big one too) im pretty sure was lost in the system. Complex situation but yea.

2500 a year. When I was registered in Atlanta it was 5k a year. Ouch.

Before reading this thread I was hearing about increasing deductables and stuff but yea it seems stupid now. I might still call for the pricing out of curiosity specifically for me but it seems i'd never make up the money unless I had no accidents for many years.

Damn BoOsTin, that deductible is pretty high.

Yeah i know man. At that time I was struggling a bit to get by. I think i'll follow the advice on here and call to have it lowered. I can afford a few extra bucks now!

and dude.. my ded is high but your premium is NUTS!
Thats why I went with a smaller name company. All the big guys like AAA or State Farm were just too expensive with my record.

Does your insurance go up if you make a claim on comprehensive coverage, such as if someone scratches their key across your car or your otherwise subjected to vandalism?

No, filing a claim for a covered peril will not increase your premium. Its expected that you'll have a loss at some point and contemplated in the rates. What you do not want to happen is to have multiple claims and become unprofitable to the company. That can get you dropped from coverage or switched to a higher tiered rating company.

At fault accidents, moving violations, poor claims experience and even bad credit ratings will definitely increase your premium and impact who is willing to offer coverage.
