Audio Newbie needs bass help

I own a pro5 and need some BASS!
Is it possible to do this, and if so how?

I would like to leave the factory head unit in place (6 disc changer with tape deck) and leave door speakers stock too. I would like to add a sub woofer in the back without taking all the space of my trunk area. Also i do not want to loose the back seat either.
Can a sub be added to the factory system without sacrificing more then half of the trunk and stay around the $500 dollar range or less?
If so can you please give me your recomendations as to how or what equipment I should get. (What about those Bass "Bazooka" Tubes?)
Thank You,

for the money you'd be better off getting a real sub instead of the bass tube. you can add a sub and amp to the factory head unit you would just loose your rear channels unless you got something like a 2 channel amp. just get a line level converter to covert the line level inputs from the rear speakers to rca outputs to the amp. as for the sub...JL is awesome one 12" wouldn't take up too much room and would sound good in p5. if you still wanted to keep the rear speakers with the amp run the the rear speakers off the second open output sets. just don't turn the amp up much, the factory speakers can't take a whole lot of juice from an external amp.

Thanks!
I was at Circuit City and They wanted to sell me this Kenwood amp it seemed good, with this 10" Bazooka triangle sub in a triangle ported box. Do you know anythig about this? They say its much better then the Bazooka Tubes. They never mentioned anything about a line level converter. Should they have? The installer said he could wire it up to the head unit. All the speakers would continue to work just the way they are but the sub would be added. All the amp's jucie would go to the sub only.
Also I looked at the JL subs. What kind of boxes do you all recomend? Ported, Sealed or band pass.
I would like some bump to my ride.

As far as the triangle bazooka goes, never seen it. I usually try to stay as far away from tubes as possible, im kind of a purist when it comes to sound in the car, hell i spent close to 2k just putting mids, highs, and a head unit in my last ride. As for box design its a matter of personal taste and space requirements. Bandpass is a decible monster that doesn't garble the sound too much but it requires a lot of power to properly "push" the subs. The ported box is good for general listening on any music, it's not great at anyone thing but usually sounds pretty good with everything. The ported also requires the least amount of power to get good sound out of the box. Sealed, which is what i usually go for, is good tight hard hitting bass. its not good for some music but for rock and hard bassing rap its great. Sealed boxes are kind of in the middle as far as power requirements...example, one JL 10W3 rated for 250 watts constant power in a sealed box, running off of a 600w amp briged to mono turned less than half way up...which im guessing is about 175-200 watts...sounds great now that i've got it set up.
