anyone with kartboy shifter probs

whatz up

well i installed my kartboy shifter and i am happy with, but
it makes a vibratign noise i think it is hitting the heat shield but dont know!!

i need help finding out what the prob could be and if there is something seriosuly wrong!!

well and is it normal that when the short shifter is in 4th it looks like it should be in neutral?

It's hitting the heat sheild. either get some spacers, or do what I did, bend it a little bit...Easy fix...If thats not the problem, come back and let me know. I'll do what I can to help.
As far as the 4th/neutral question, I'm not exactly following...If you mean it looks like it has not gone as far down as 4th gear used to go, then that is normal. That is what a SS does.

it's a 5 minute fix

just bend the shield back after putting the car up on ramps

it takes 10 seconds, really easy... it likes to stay bent too

as for looking like its in neutral... well it will be harder to tell what gear it's in because the throws are shorter but it's definitely in the right position

i have had mine on for 30,000 miles now. I just bent the heat shield down a hair so it cleared the shifter. I have had no problems at all.

I have the Karboy.... and mine doesnt rattle in Neutral... but when im cruzing on the highway and i take my foot off the gas, you can hear a slight rattle... in 4th and 5th.... which is weird because when its in 4th the bottom of the shifter should be away from the heatshield (which i did bend by the way)... i guess im just going to have to get under there and check it out... but other then that i love it, nice and notchy!!!

ohhh and the thing about it being in 4th looking like neutral... if anything it should look like its really far down (close to the e-brake) because of the bend in the shifter... cause the stock shifter doesnt bend at all... unless they installed it backwards??? but i would think if you had it installed by a shop they would know what way it goes....

yeah check the heatshield. its really easy to bend it down a little bit. USE JACKSTANDS OR RAMPS!!! i want to be able to sell you more parts in the future

for the slight humm on decell. the factory shifter had the lever incased in rubber to reduce the NVH. since our shifter is one solid part it will transfer a little bit more noise than stock. nothing to be worried about. just turn the radio up a notch or two
