That's pretty fuggin weak... Okay, so I jsut tried once more to be sure. nothing but power and ground cleanly hooked up. plug a fuse in and burning smell. I NEED that thing out of my car FAST!!!

Ah, and we have the problem. one of mosfet units on my power rail is fried

Perhaps I'm wrong. guess these are heatsink ties??? 2 out of the 12 are fried now. and looks like the flame hit the board... not good for this amp, but possibly good for me... MAYBE if I ask REALLY nice-like They're just scrap the board, and put a 2x160w in it's place.

wanna know what's weird? I was listening to chick-music at prettymuch no volume when this happened... like background sub-conversation quiet while friends were in my car taking in the fiberglass fumes and lamenting the absence of my sub... just stopped playing...

I think the alki beach idea sunded pretty sly. we could meetup somewhere near the freeway then cruise there???
