2017~2025: Anybody use a washable CAF?

Even the generic cabin air filters are $12-$15 these days. Right now, K&N is having a 20% off sale, making their washable CAF $38.39 w/free shipping. Seems like a no-brainer, paying for itself in under 3 filter changes.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of their engine air filters, but a cabin air filter seems like a much less critical application. Has anybody tried one? What is your experience? Thanks

As said above, you can buy the standard filters on Amazon for about $5-6 each. Why not just get a new filter every year rather than going through the washing/drying of the K&N? If you do a filter every 12k/12mths that would be 6yrs of filters to buy the K&N.

Plus, you shouldn't need to replace the filter for 2-3years (1 year is overkill), so works out even better!
