Any photographers in here?

Sorry... its been a while since I've been there, but can you see how I could make the confusion?

now i feel bad. those pics were at camden yards. its just when the red sox are in town, baltimore is so over run with sox fans like myself, that we call it fenway south. camden yards IS a beautiful ball park, and the inner harbor is wicked fun. saw three games there last summer

LOL, thought so n00b! Don't confuse me like that... I really feel like a super n00b though. I used to love going to games, but they're fairly painful to watch now. Let me know the next time you come up and maybe we can organize a mini-meet before or after the game. Hell I wouldn't mind buying a scalped ticket and getting in there again (usually go once a year)

Tripod + long exposure at a f/18-22 = star effect, low noise, sharp picture.

Bring your ISO to manual mode and as low as it'll go too.

I actually did get my best results in manual, high f-stop is the ONLY thing I didn't try.

I don't think my cam will go lower than 100 ISO? or are you talking about one of the custom settings I haven't learned yet?

that one was shot:
ISO 100
5 seconds
f4
18mm
(then I jacked with it in photoshop lol)

time to go play!

Capture the moment/memories and emotion. I do event photography and it's all about documenting the event based on what the client is looking for. Not sure of the details of your event, but in my case, I consult with the client and show them what I mean by the above. Often times the client doesn't know what they don't know in terms of how the event should be photographed.

I live by my tag line of my business...."Let me capture the memories, while you enjoy the moment"
Thanks for the advice.

Love the tag line. Very creative. Great work too.

Yup..
That's all I can think of for now. I totally forgot what event you're covering.

Thanks funky.

Here is the event poster. Pretty much a up-scale club rave deal.

Do you guys use flash diffusers? I am thinking about making one out of some craft foam.

My camera doesnt go more than f/11, so this is the best I can do.

I have a problem that when saving for web in CS4 I dont get the exact colours as in PS.
They are somewhat darker.

I think you could recover more in post processing and brighten em up...

I definitely need to try this again in better lighting conditions, but other than that I'm happy with the results.

Yup..so if this is like a club setting..I usually shoot:

1/6 - 1/15
F2.8 - F4
external flash and diffuser

I like to keep the slow shutter to capture movement and stuff. You'll get some nice effects w/ the lasers. YOu can even turn off the flash and shoot natural light and use the spotlights and lasers to your advantage.

They are at least 10% darker when saving in jpg than what I see in PS, but I agree they should be lighter so you can see more detail on the right side which is in shadow.
