(fu)

clunk
hesitation

coolant leak - dont know where its coming from, but i'm always putting water/coolant in the resevoir
front creak in cold weather
warping rotors
breaks squeak when cold or going slow
rattles - front driver side door, front passenger side door speaker, driver seat (when i'm not sitting in it)
A/C sucks (in the summer)
lights always dim at random
idle drops at red lights
noise (i guess from LSD) when making a slow sharp turn (i.e. right hand turn at a stop sign)

How to fix MSP problems

I've had it all,

1. Engine hesitation with and without ECU flash - Dealer tried to tell me it was a bad spark plug the last time.
2. Squeaky Brakes
3. Random Electrical surges
4. Sub Woofer - Blown twice
5. Rear Sway Bar Bushings - second set of bushing and the clunk is back
6. Front suspension can crushing sound
7. Head unit random cut out in heat or with heater on
8. Coolant leak

Well I have decided enough is enough and I am making Mazda buy back the car, refund all of my money and payments and cover all other expenses to get me into another comparable car. I am using "Holder In Due Course" doctorine to get this done and under these laws the manufacturer and dealer can be liable for 3 time the value of the car. I do not have to fight for this the finance company does so on my behalf. If you want to know how to do this too check out the thread below which give examples and links to the various laws.

Hope this helps

I altered the above to reflect my car. I think pretty much every MSP has all of these issues. I think you'll have a tough row to hoe getting Mazda to buy back the car, but good luck.

Doesn't realy matter if Mazda buys back the car. Once you invoke this law you stop making payments to the finance company, so essentially you get to drive the car around for free until the issue is settled according to the terms of the federal statute.

The finance company has an agreement with the dealer to hold the finance company blameless. Mazda is not going to jeopardize their realationship with all outsdie lenders over one model of car.

Information like that posted on this site helps make this a no brainer. I sent the link for this site to Chase Auto Finance so that they could see this was not an isolated incident and when they saw the amount of issues and the repetative nature of the complaints they were not very happy with Mazda.

I will keep everyone informed on how this turns out.

If thats all thats on your list you should never buy a VW.

I'd agree with that. The list of stuff above that my MSP has doesn't even register as problems. The windows in my doors don't fall down or my car doesn't randomly stop running every few K miles and have to be towed in for a coil pack like my GTI did.

I am having hesitation in the car, until it warms up. I have changed the spark plugs. Found one that had worked itself loose. Plus, they were pretty used up. Now the car won't start. I read something about a ROOM fuse, but cannot locate the dang thing. Any ideas?

Pontiac Grand Ams had a sway bar squeak over speed bumps. GM Service Bulletin was to remove the bar clean it with emery cloth and wrap it with 1/16'' teflon tape, clean out the bushing supports and coat them with silicon grease, install new bushings. I did this one close to 1000 GA's. 2.1 hrs warranty time and I could get it done in 10 minutes so I "noticed it" on purpose in the service bay. A simple fix. Cheap considering customers 1 even 2 years later while I was still there would tell me "That squeak didn't come back again". IF ONLY MAZDA WOULD BE SO KIND. Myself I'm going to a GM dealership and getting me the TSB kit for a '99 grand am sway bar.

Oh man i have too add the driver seat squeek... i dont know what the hell it is but i cant stop it :(
