ajkulish's Build Thread #2

some paints have gloss and some have matte. speaking of which i might be ****** for some of this. i went to buy 3 more cans of the matte paint and all they have now is the gloss which sucks. so i might have to get white primer on the rest of the car and then put this on top so i can save some paint.

and i cant take credit for this idea. a guy in a p5 took some advice from a friend or something and he did his with a printout vinyl and this paint, but in blue. heres the link.

i figured this would be too good to be true but i guess its not. if you need any advice i can send you all the tactics on using this paint.

Looking good man! Also even though the website might be out of stock, try calling the 3 shop locations listed on the allcity site. I had an issue (they shipped the wrong color on accident) when I went to order a few extra cans and a rep out of the el paso store actually personally delivered to my house from his store to fix the issue. (Granted he was passing through AZ for a meet and greet where their phoenix retailer, but still! Doesn't hurt to give them a ring. They even asked me for the batch code from the bottom of my cans to make sure I got cans from the same barrel.

thanks dude!

and yeah, i sent a mass email to all 3 of their locations hoping they had it. if they dont, im gonna have to prime the rest of the car white so i can get away with putting less paint on, which frankly i dont want to do :/

hopefully they will get back to me and hopefully ill get my exhaust tomorrow!

in the shade mine looks kinda like primer, and in the sunlight it looks matte white. its brilliant. this paint can also be done in gloss rep. there is a color called anchorage white i think they make in matte and gloss. do gloss anchorage white :)

i need more cans bad. im 5 cans down and ive done my bumper, one fender, one door, my spoiler, and my trunk lid. they all look great , but i need more.

only problem is i can see the streaks of where i paint on the car. i was told by william (hitncry) that this will go away after a week of driving in the sun and 2 washes though. biggest issue so far is the doors. **** our doors. the angle sucks. the top portion by the window turns out great and so does the bottom. but the middle section between the 2 body lines. it builds up all sorts of paint dust that i will have to scrub hard in a week to get off. other than that this stuff is great. i reccomend getting the wide tip for these cans as well, i wish i did.

Grab one of these gems from your hardware store for a few bucks. really saves your finger tips

and holy s*** cam you might have saved my life. have you ever used one of those things before? will it fit a top like this? and is it a wide angle spray?

i need one of those things that will cover one of these tops

as opposed to one of these. notice how the top one is wider.

It's easy dood, it just snaps around the metal part. Squeezing the handle presses down on the button, you don't have to remove the tip. I have one at home, use it for plastidip and more

oh damn :/ i was hoping it was gonna replace my current tip. seeing as this is graffiti paint, it is used for precise art so the stream is fairly narrow. i want something that is gonna give me a good wide spray.

Those spray can handles really do help out a lot, especially with finger fatigue. You'll have much better control using one, and they're really cheap. You can get them at any store that carries spray paint.

there you go man. good luck with it. i ordered 10 cans and im running short. id order about 16 if youre gonna paint your hood as well.

You can pop a wide angle tip onto the plastic nozzle and go to town
