AirFlow sensor

Just need some help requarding the airflow sensor on top of the air box, as show here
I plan on putting a K&N pod filter in a "rampod" style system. Do I need some sort of adapter for the Airflow sensor or is their some way of installing the sensor into the induction tubing? And if so how do i remove the sensor from the air box?

Any help or examples would be greatly appreciated. :)

I dont know about the K&N air pod filter, but their should be just 2 bolts on the side of the air flow meter that attaches the top of the air box to the air flow meter. Yes the sensor has to be removed if your removing the air box. I believe that the black sensor is the air temp. sensor. I dont know anything about the k&N pod filter though.

Yeah

The Lil black sensor that actually goes into the air box is the temp sensor like Twizyours said. If u are planning on just getting a cone filter u will have to drill a place in the filter to fit in the temp sensor. If u just leave it out u will throw the CEL. If u are planning on just the cone filter how will u hold it up?? The box will slide right off the MAF sensor after u take about five or so nuts and bolts off. There is going to be a lil black rubber fitting that holds the box and the air flow snesor together. Keep that and it will hold ur K 'n' N on. U are going to need brakets to hold the intake so not to be flopping around. Hit me back and tell me if i am on the right track with what u are trying to do.
Peace,
Zane
Hope thats a help.

You definitely should drill a hole for the temp sensor but if you leave it out it shouldnt trhow the cell light. I had mine out for like a week when I was checking just the difference on a open air intakes and I never threw a cel light you could also gett L brackets from lowes they have different sizes and kinds and I believe there is a place you could bolt the bracket by the battery not shore though woul have to go look but you should find a easy solution to holding it in place.
