Have you been getting my emails? I wanted to know if you have the custom map for my car. Remember the dynos I sent to you. Do you need me to resend them? Emial me if you do. slightlyalteredmsp@yahoo.com

bump.

still awaiting reply to pm's and emails to purchase after 72 hours+. I wish DSM/Airflow logistics had a more accessable person to support their great product. It's frustrating when I have money that I'm willing to spend and nobody seems to want to take it (uhm) .

Does anyone know who I can get a hold of to order this unit? It's been 4 days and I've gotten no replies to pm's, emails, forum posts, smoke signals, sos, and mirrors reflecting sunlight.

Is there a phone number? Are they still in business??

It does seem difficult to get response from DSMConvert, although he has described many times how busy he is, especially with the new shop and the increase demand for the AFC, FTC, etc....I too would also like to purchase one the the AFC's. But is seems like there is a very limited number of them at the moment, I think the last group buy had ten units for sale (I could be wrong, just going by what I thought I read awhile ago)...but they were gone in a matter of hours probably due to the hight demand....so it probably means those of us still wanting one will have to wait.....

On the other hand, could you just purchase a split sec PSC1-001 and load the maps yourself? All you need is a pc and a specific serial cable if I recall. I'm not sure if that is the only mods to the PSC1 that DSMconvert does. But spiltsec sells the PSC1 for $265 according to their website, and a serial cable is only a few bucks. Their site has instructions on how to program the unit, it doesn't seem to hard. The hard part is the tuning of the maps to suit the vehicle, as what DSMconvert has been doing, this takes time, and can be a delicate process, since you can screw your motor up if you don't know what your doing. Thats why I would want to by one from him, to help support his business and his willingness to help tune our cars. He will resurface eventually........................I'm hoping.........

I agree that it does seem demand WELL surpasses supply at this point (which is great for DSMConvert). I'm not trying to cop an attitude cuz John's been cool in getting back to me in the past. It just sucks that he's missing when I'm actually ready to buy. This is the last step I'm taking in mods and it's like looking at birthday cake without candles or something. 5 days is a long time to be put off...

From what I have heard on the Lancer/EVO forums, is the Split Second software costs A LOT of money and they only deal with vendors who have a reputation. Which is why you really can't just buy the box and the software. RRM (which operates a lot like MAM) has a piggyback unit for the NA Lancer and Stage 2 Lancer and there has been much discussion about alternatives (emanage and SAFC barely work before the ECU learns around the maps). Split Seconds boxes seem to work the best, but at a premium of demand and $$.

I'll be getting one of these from DSMConvert in the future btw.

I just ordered the DSM AFC for my 03 MSP with a FMIC and will let everyone know how a newly shipping one runs on my car. Thanks to Casopolis for the how to on the hook up.

so how did you get to order? I still can't decide between this and unichip or e-manage.

I assume that means you were also having trouble getting a hold of them to order (?)

It seems there are 2 guys involved at Air Flow Logistics; John and Russ. John was on vacation gettin' some R&R and Russ was in Alabama (?) where the hurricane hit to help his family out. I got an order through after about 2 1/2 weeks of trying with money in hand. It's supposedly on the way, but I never got the tracking number I requested, so maybe they didn't get to shipping it yet. I'm sure they were back-logged from their time away so I'm just pacing until it gets here--John was a really nice guy so that helped ease my woes a bit. I'll definitely post an update when it's in if you feel like waiting to hear before making a purchase.

How to order Redux...

I just emailed John the other day and have recieved no response. Not very good customer service. If still on vacation...he should have set auto-response. I have some questions about the unit....including how to order one.

Hmm earful....never got any emails....if you'd like give me a call 813-679-7753....tenacious the AFC sold by speedforce is not the same afc we sell...ours is specifically designed for the MSP and has a few differences with the firmware of the electronics...if you'd like you can call SS and they will confirm this, we are the only ones that sell the MSP version of the AFC. As for the delayed responses, unfortunately my partner has decided to step back due to recent events and has pretty much left me with running everything....looking into hiring another techy to help, but for the time being its just me so please continue to heckle me and I'll try my best to get to everything in a timely fashion.
