Aggressive fitment anyone?!

some of these posts make me giggle. dub, do have the same setup on the fronts? pics if so. backs are easy to fill.

This is the most respectful reply I saw in the thread so I will use it to reply. Other than being too low for my taste, I think the car looks way better in the signature picture with the Racing Hart Wheels. Am I the only one who saw that top picture and thought "wow, way to ruin a nice looking car!"

If you can't stand an honest opinion that differs from your own point of view, you really should not ask for opinions in a public forum.

You might be the only one who thought that. The thread is titled "Aggressive fitment" for a reason. That's as aggressive as it gets (IMO) without poking out. He's pretty much flush which a lot of people like....which is the reason for the thread.

And he didn't ask for an opinion. He asked if his set up counted as being aggressive. I would give that question a definite "Yes."

I'm not bothered by your opinion as you are entitled to it. But to come into a thread like this and voice your dislike for these types of setups would be like coming onto this forum and telling everyone how much you don't like Mazda's. Why make your opinion heard if you know no one really wants to hear it?

OK - maybe I don't understand what "aggressive fitment" means. I thought it meant the widest tire / wheel combo without sticking out or rubbing. A 17x7" wheel hardly seems aggressive for for an MSP when others are running 17x8s or wider. I dove into the this thread because I am into the concept of fitting the widest tires and wheels on a vehicle to get better performance. Pushing narrow wheels out with spacers until they rub on the fenders does nothing but hurt performance because you have to baby the car to prevent cutting your tires! And the blacked out wheels plus slammed 'til it drags on the ground approach just sent me over the edge.

Gonna have to agree.

I don't want this thread to get locked because you don't know what aggressive fitment means. You know so little about the backround of that pic it makes my head hurt so I'm not even gonna waste my time explaining it.

well the lower offset with the spaces can help greg see where a wider setup will fit. Thats what I did when I planned for my rpf1s. the 7 inch wide wheel with +43(+33 with spacer) sits 1mm outward than my 8" +45 set up does.

gives a nice visual without before buying wheels and not liking the fit

Exactly.

Rix, I see where you're coming from. Aggressive can mean different things for sure. I view it as low offset, wide tires....and making it fit. Some view it as low offset, wide wheel, and stretch the tires to make it fit. To each their own.

I run low offset 18's and I'm trying to put wider tires on them. I like pushing it to the limit. :)

Pic of mine...some have seen it...no clue what the offset is...
