haha i got the same one xD i love the blue light hehe i think ya need another "0" in the model number unless we got slightly different ones? lol had a kenwood(for some reason i keep saying or typing kenmore LMAO) and it sucked..i'm really happy wit my pioneer xD
nah the DEH-P390MP is the same as the MP3900. exactly the same face and features, just a new model year so they changed the name.
its a damn good radio from pioneer...and yea i like the blue light as well lol, although it can be aggravating at night (especially with my tint) so its very dark in my car.

ooo i see hehe. its good too cause ya can hook up wit the aux input. i heard that alpine didnt have it unless it was the higher models. i love it xD

btw sorry to thread jack but how do u set the time again?(i knew how to b4 but i cant seem to set it again lol) i kinda misplaced my manual and i cant seem to find it ><

here are some ideas. ive been through 4 different decks already but got better and better each time. unfortunately i was only able to find pics of only 3 of them.

for this set-up i used 2 single din units. tv on top and radio/cd player on the bottom. i used a ps2 mounted under the glove box to watch videos onto the screen.

this is actually my third unit i had in. it was a single din clarion touchscreen flip out and i used the mazspeed pocket to fill in the gap. its looked clean. Before the Clarion i had a panasonic flip out but since it wasnt touchscreen i traded it for the Clarion

and this is my latest head unit which ive had for 1 1/2 years. Eclipse AVN 5435, double din, touchscreen with the works. only problem was it was a bit smaller than the opening so i had a friend make me a housing using abs plastic from old radio pockets. he had to glue them together and use bondo to make it flushed and smooth.

Alpine double DIN

Mr.Ames,

I am going to go with the iva-w200 as well. Do you have any pics from more of a side view? I was wondering if the deck itself sticks out a bit or not.

TIA

The Eclipse looks amazing! How much did that set you back?

dont have a GPS deck as i have a pda that i can take with me when i get out, however my pda interfaces with my deck for voice guidance anyways.

i also have USb on my deck too :)

the unit i have does:
- AM/FM
- CD
- DVD
- GPS
- MP3
- sirius
- touchscreen

when i bought the in-dash, it ran me about $1400, but yet there were less double din units that had all those features for a low price over a year ago. now they start for about $1000 but still can go very expensive depending on what you get. some have hard drives for the GPS, the model i have uses a DVD and has a separate slot for regular CDs. Thats the only downfall for that unit, if you want to play a DVD you need to remove the GPS disc and you wont be able to use the GPS function, but for myself, i installed a DVD player in my glove box and i also hooked up my ipod video to it, and thats how i play music videos and movies. hope this helps.

no, it doesn't really stick out, i'll take some more pics tonight. i took the rubber thing off the anchor of the stock deck and made one for the alpine deck cuz it was bending the dash a little from hanging there. works good, doesnt skip over train tracks anymore either

cool, thanks for the info!

What is the technically correct term for the MSP storage cubby in the pic above? I would like to use this exact one after installing my new aftermarket unit. A part # or other substitution options would be great.

I doubt you will get an answer because...

The post above yours starts with:

And yours says

I would check on ebay if I were you. If you read the thread i think they mentioned it was from the msp3. So search for that, or possibly someone parting out their msp3 and ask if they have it.

Other option would be to make one out of fiberglass.

Do you already have your new headunit? What model is it and where did you get it from?

I got this Clarion unit from Crutchfield.com. It comes with the harness & install kit and is on sale for 99.99 . It has a USB and AUX input on the front. I love loading up the thumbdrive and not having CD's all over the car anymore.

I realized this thread was old as s***, but since it was applicable, it was better than starting a new one. Anyways....

The unit is a used (in great shape) 1DIN Panasonic CQ-C8401U. Fiberglass is not an option. Ebay would be if i had some terms/suggestions to hunt and search with.

I like this install kit. A kit is a perfectly fine option except im having trouble finding them for this car, probably because you dont need one since its just 2 single DIN slots. Thanks for your help
