Ok, so i just bought the AEM SRI off a member who parted it out for me, and he cleaned the AEM Dryflow cone filter and oiled it....and those Dryflows are not supposed to be oiled just washed and dryed.
Would the AEM Cleaning solution clean off that oil? or what do i need to use to clean off that oil. or is the filter just basically effed up and no longer usable.

Thanks guys.

you could try it but i don't think that it will get rid of the oil at least not enough for it to be deemed usable. Personally I would try to find a new filter.

Damn, they put DRYflow as the name & that wasn't clue enough? Bet it wasn't even oiled when it was brand new either. lol. I tell ya, the world nowadays.....(hand)(hand)(hand)

Yeah, use the cleaning kit someone has for the K&Ns then just put it back dry. IMO, that should clean it up enough to reuse, at least until it's convenient to replace it.

+1
I expect if you use a friendly degreaser to soak it for a while and rinse from inside out with a bucket of hot water then continue to flush with freash cold water. Let it **AIR** dry really good too.
