Sorry, GoFast. I think I'm confusing you. As you stand in front of the car with the hood up, looking at the intake, you will see that the MAF on the MSCAI sits off to the the right at about a 45 degree angle from vertical. I took the instructions (including the AEM photo) to mean that I was to align the vanes on the straightener parallel with the part of the MAF that extends down into the intake.
So, if you put the straightener in so that its vanes line up paralled with the internal part of the MAF inside the tube, it will be at about a 45 degree angle to the right of vertical. Am I making any sense?
I was just trying to see if you went to the left or to the right of that alignment. If you go left or counterclockwise, then the vanes would be pretty close to vertical as you look at the tube. If you go right or clockwise of being aligned parallel to the MAF, then you end up 90 degrees to the right, if that makes sense. I could draw this out.
It sounds to me that you are saying that you went counterclockwise of being parallel to the MAF. To me that would have the vanes of your straightener lined up pretty much straight up and down. Am I understanding this correctly now.
If this makes a difference it would be good to know how to repeat your alignment.
BTW: I have no intake related CEL's. I do have CEL's from my catless exhaust, which comes with the territory. lol.
