Active-Matic Transmission?...

anyone here have it on their P5? what are your opinions on it? as a regular auto and in the "manual" mode?

i might be picking up a '03 P5 and am leaning towards this tranny...

I think it's awesome! I live in the Boston metro area, so I would lose my mind sitting in traffic with a manual, which is why I got the AT. On road trips, it's great to be able to do your own shifting, I highly recommend it!

me too, i love it! you dont have to have any knowledge regarding manual trannys, the computer wont let you do stupid things, like downshift from 4th to 1st. i usually use auto, except when i want to do a quick takeoff. also, all the pull rests between 3 and 4000 rpms, so pull the shifter when the tach hits about 3800.......the only thing i dont like is the short delay between when you hit the shifter and when it shifts, you you have to account for it in your timing
