Acceleration tip

Has anyone got the acceleration down to a science yet? I'm a new owner (15 miles on her), and noticed completely different throttle responses when depressing the pedal. Also, there's that sticking point half way... I'm sure there's a method to it, but couldn't find any threads on here. Any advice?

Floor it fast (right past the resistance point) for maximum downshift and maximum acceleration. Slower movement of the throttle reduces downshifting and provides smoother, quieter acceleration. If I know I want it to downshift but don't want maximum acceleration, I push the throttle very quickly but only partially to the floor.

I'm a huge fan of the Manual Mode whenever I know I'm about to need a quick surge of acceleration, such as when darting around a bicyclist I've been stuck behind, etc.

That way there's no delay or guesswork with the shifting.
