988 AWHP AMS Evo - Dyno Vid

The car is in St. Louis setting up for tomorrows NOPI event. Word has it that they're having trouble with traction... Keep in mind they're running on all slicks!!!! Time to drop the tire pressure and let her rip!

:: drool ::

I'd hang a picture of that engine bay up in my living room, it is sweet.

sweet looking set up drool... i have just a lil more than 10% of that power at 2 wheels not 4. so that makes it like 5% of that power to the ground... somehow if that makes sense...

Here's a pic with the bumper off. They're the first ones to have a setup like this. We've seen the power they've gained (last pull on old setup netted 826whp), and we'll now see how it helps them at the track.

Looks more like a BOV to me... WG needs to be on the manifold.

Beat me to it. Yes the wastegate is alway on the exhaust side of the turbo and vents excess exhaust gases to the atmosphere. A blow-off valve is what is welded to the IC. This is kinda the way stock wrx/wti's setup is like except with their TMIC.

I wonder if that car would be street legal if they put a cat on it. I'm sure there is other things needed also. They wold also have to stick a filter on the turbo and that would look funny!

Well, yesterday at the NOPI event in STL the car had some major problems keeping straight. Many cars had traction problems at the track yesterday and a few even went into the wall. The evo went back to Chicago last night with clutch problems. Looks like the new power is causing them to re-consider the type of clutch they use. This presents a problem when you're sponsored.

Well, the driver was also trying ot get his license (I forget which one) so for the first 2 passes he let off at the 330 mark. Best of thsoe was a 12.2 @ 75mph lol. After that the clutch went out and they decided that with the lack of traction and being far from home that they'd call it a day.

According to AMS they're going to fix the clutch issue this week and take the car to a local track to shake it down and get some good runs in. The runs at STL were the first since the new build.

hey, its scotts mp3 with the fs-de tranny and evo swap. nice runs! :)

Bahsdhaha Yeah it's Scott's MP3 with complete evo swap except stock MP3 tranny and clutch! aha

Maybe not have 1000whp on a 2000lb car...????? At some point power seems to over-run speed and handling....I think they pushed it a little far....Still badass!!!!! Good luck on future runs....And stay off the walls...
