the hardest part is figuring what wire goes to which wire on the wire harness. if its not a direct plug, but i gotcha covered.
I have a question, i just purchased a pair of HIDS, however, i have the msp h4 set up, and my last pair of HIDS was simple plug and play, and so are these, but when i connected everything up, and turned on the headlights, the HIDS didnt come on, but when i put the high beams on it work, am i installing these HIDS wrong or is there something i am missing? or its just a bad HID set? thanks for your help
If the kit you bought had just 2 metal prongs that you insert into your factory headlight connector, you put the 12v source into the wrong connector. If you have an H4 male connector, then you would have to de-pin the HID connector and move the 12v sources around. When you turn on the high beams switch, is it the acctual high beams that are on. It could be you need to switch the polarity on the ballast. The kit I was working with was the same. For the wire that connected the oem harness to the ballast, you need to turn the plug around on the connection to the ballast. It should fit fine because it's an oval. The clip might not work right, but if you use pliers, it'll be fine.
I always hear that 4300k is the brightest and the higher you go the worse the light output. Well, I actually put that to the test. Here is a picture. 12,000k is just slightly dimmer than 4300k. So light output wise, they are just about the same. I noticed that the output doesn't actually start to drop off until you hit 12,000k. So Really, 4300k-10,000k all put out the same amount of light and 12,000k is where it gets a little dimmer.
