8000K HID opinoins.

the hardest part is figuring what wire goes to which wire on the wire harness. if its not a direct plug, but i gotcha covered.

I have a question, i just purchased a pair of HIDS, however, i have the msp h4 set up, and my last pair of HIDS was simple plug and play, and so are these, but when i connected everything up, and turned on the headlights, the HIDS didnt come on, but when i put the high beams on it work, am i installing these HIDS wrong or is there something i am missing? or its just a bad HID set? thanks for your help

When you turn on the high beams switch, is it the acctual high beams that are on. It could be you need to switch the polarity on the ballast. The kit I was working with was the same. For the wire that connected the oem harness to the ballast, you need to turn the plug around on the connection to the ballast. It should fit fine because it's an oval. The clip might not work right, but if you use pliers, it'll be fine.

You wired them incorrectly.

I always hear that 4300k is the brightest and the higher you go the worse the light output. Well, I actually put that to the test. Here is a picture. 12,000k is just slightly dimmer than 4300k. So light output wise, they are just about the same. I noticed that the output doesn't actually start to drop off until you hit 12,000k. So Really, 4300k-10,000k all put out the same amount of light and 12,000k is where it gets a little dimmer.

If the kit you bought had just 2 metal prongs that you insert into your factory headlight connector, you put the 12v source into the wrong connector. If you have an H4 male connector, then you would have to de-pin the HID connector and move the 12v sources around.

Look closely. Its the 4300k that travels the farthest though. This also depends on how the headlights r aimed, and maybe even the brands.

Nothing against you operatic(bowdown)
If it has a positive and a neg. wire going into the harness, he simply needs to plug the red or pos. wire into the other slot, which is probly the low beam slot.

12,000k Headlights w/ 4000k fogs would be pure sex. Just my opinion...and what I'm getting if I have money to waste. I'm trying to stay under the radar right now.

I just installed mine. They are 8000k. I can take pics if anyone wants them.

I had SuperVision 8000K HID's on my p5. They were white once the bulbs warmed up. The light was purple at start up, then grew white. The light projected on the ground was white. they were awesome in dry weather, and snow. They sucked in the rain.

I have 8k hids look great blue hew turn the signs bluish and the snow super white, good output im very happy with them I have MaxcarR hids in my car right now good setup however I dont have the conversion kit for the hi beams so I only have low beams..which believe me is enough especially is you drive in a well lit city like I do... kit was expensive though 250.00 bucks at a local shop, easy setup though just dont try to install them when its 30 below outside like I did..hope this helps!

I love my 8000ks. But I will say they do suck in snow and rain. I couldnt see the snow falling at all with mine. But they did fine on lighting the road up. I havent had time to take pics. Weather has been kinda bad. But I will get some pics as soon as I can.
