yea. thats where im at. ive been wanting to attempt the 2.5 6 speed trans since they released it. but i already have my built FE3 swapped 626GT, and a 92 probe GT ive been building also thats been getting most of my money. and that doesnt even cover my daily driver 97 KL v6 626. so my mazda6 kinda gets put on the back burner alot more then it deserves.

Ah. I've got... the S2000 that I'm building a new engine for, and that I just spent $4k on upgrading suspension and brakes, plus the Nissan Frontier with the bulletproof driveline that's just itching to have its torque doubled. If I did the 5, I'd have to drop an LSD in at the same time, and spec out yet another turbo.

they built that like 3 years ago. there are tons of threads here about it. it was a full mazdaspeed drivetrain swap. not just trans. autobarn mazda in chicago did one also.

Yeah, seen that one. The video shows the direct linkage, I forgot about that part of it.
And that setup is too much trouble- probably easier to put in a 6 speed from a new 5 and then turbocharge the stock engine to get to Mazdaspeed power levels.
