There isn't any of Saving money! My money goes directly to all my bills, Mortgage payment, both car payments.etc "that's the reason why i asked what would u do or if it's enough money to survive by! Seems not since i have nothing left. BTW: i get paid monthly which suck's, and i ain't getting no Skyline "already have enough hard time trying to pay my car-payment's and SH*^.

there is always a way to save money. sign up for the 401k at work at put it 10 a month. your employer will most likely add a little to that. stop buying starbucks crap and save. stop going out during lunch and bring something from home. stop buying expensive tires and buy kumhos 712 or asx or whatever. unsubscribe from digital cable, see how many minutes you use on the cell and get a smaller and less expensive plan if you don't use that many. get vonage instead of your local phone company.

there is always a way to save money you just have to be willing to sacrifice some things now so you will have something later

well... im 25, a single outside sales guy for a drywall company... i make really good money, so good that i feel like an idiot. i made a lot of bills when i was younger which is why i started this job in the first place... 5 years ago as a warehouse person. i own my p5 with over 25gs invested (very stupidly), i (or the bank) have a new 05 4dr tundra and in november i bought a brand new 05 gsxr 750 (paid with credit card). i have a 401k plan but nothing saved up. for all of the younger kids out there it really isnt worth it having the "jones" new stuff all the time, bills become overwhelming and at one point i even considered bankrupcy (before the outside sales position). i was about to buy a house, got approved for a 700k loan but decided to move in with the gf and save money. median house price in hawaii is now 640k... about $4500 a month. i wish i knew where all the money went this year but at least at this point the only bill i have left is the truck... ill be saving up some money for a fat down on a house this coming year and hopefully make that my new hobbie.

I have been on 401K for 8yrs now. I'm talking about my pocket money as far as having extra cash from my monthly paycheck! i do have both Directv/Dish, but as far as quality goes, i don't buy generic stuff. I have to pay to play right? As far as eating out," I don't eat out alot, don't like fastfood restaraunt's to much. For some reason i have a habit of buying something i don't need, i just get it b/c like i said" i'am a (Gadget Freak) when i walk around places with my bluetooth on, people think i am an FBI agent! lol

was it you that said you gotta a lot of phones? sell some on ebay and you will have some pocket change. i just put mine on there and i think it will bring in $50+. i just bought 3 phones from amazon, 1 for my mom, 1 for me, and 1 as a business line for my new business. not only are the phones coming out to be free but amazon/tmobile actually pays you $100 on each phone. (uhm) can't beat that. (wiggle)

Yeah i have 5cellphones, but i use'em all, Don't ask me How or why but i do! I do plan on getting rid of some of the phones, but i'am enjoying them at the sametime so yeah. Plus if i sell some of these phone's i'll lose money on them! "cant sell them for what i paid for since they are used". I also thought about it i have been spending at least $300-500month on gas. I drive 45miles one way to work so about 90-100 in a day. It seem's like i never have money at all!

I make good money where I work for what I do. I have 401k and invest 6% of every check into it. I have two cars and plan on moving into a house when the lease for this apartment is up. I have never been in debt, I don't charge anything. Everything I buy comes out of my checking or saving. If I don't have enough in there to buy it, I can't afford it. The only thing I make payments on is my car payment.

With a $4700 monthly income, you are making around $30+ an hour full time. Why did you come up with this number, are you getting a job that pays this? Do tell!

No this is what my income is Monthly from my Retirement money from the (NAVY) and my other income from (Corrections)! I make over 6000+ a month and i take home $4962 with both income's. I just don't understand how my money isn't prioritized properly, since i like expensive thing's=(Electronics) I'am just simply asking fellow forum member's, what would they do with the money or is it enough for them to survive by.

im surprised at some of the prices thrown around for different parts of the country.
im here in VT and seems like we are up there in prices. I thought Cali was definitely higher but not that much in comparison, considering you make a lot more there.
a 1800 sq ft house in middle class neighborhood here gos for 275-300 k. And we do get paid like the rest of the east coast, which menas fast food plcaes pay 6.50 7.25 an hour and higher end jobs dont pay nearly as much as a real city; probably 25 to 30% less than you would in manhattan or cali.
I usually calculate to be able to drive a car that is worth what you make in a year after taxes, minus 10% so if you are making 60 k a year and you pay 25% (approx) in taxes then you have 45 minus 10% of that you have like 40k. You should be able to buy a car worth 40k, finance it and have no problme making the monthly payments

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out - if you want to have more money quit WASTING it on useless s***! Jesus H. Christ - 5 cell phones?? WTF does ANYONE need 5 cell phones for? Just quit blowing money on stupid stuff and you'll be fine. If you don't think you can do it, then start putting a higher percentage into your 401k and that will force you to do it. I'm putting in 26% of my pay into my 401k, plus maxing out my IRA every year and I still have plenty of money to buy anything I want - hell I just paid cash for a new GTO even....but yeah, I don't have 5 cell phones so maybe that's the answer.(stash)

if you really want to find out where your money is going, keep track of it by writing down EVERY SINGLE PENNY you spend for a whole month...then look at what you didnt have to get/spend, and just don't do the same thing the month after.

Picts aren't classified right? ;) I have the monthly thing going too. I use to have a car with payments more than my 1st of the month check and since then i never felt like changing back. I use to have the I'm getting paid on the 15th so I can spend whatever's left in my bank account. since I get it once a month I have the "I have money but don't wanna touch it cause it'l be another month for next paycheck to come" mindset.
