400whp Msp Build UP

No one knows how far the reworked MSP manifold can go. I do not want to go what a big port manifold or header and lose all of the low end spool up, that would kill the lowend torque. Bottom line i will trade 20 whp for 20 lbs ft of torque anyday.

After we do dyno testing and see what the limits are of the manifold we will all know what the deal is with the MSP unit.

The stock manifold will not take the T3 style flange of the GT30R.

My turbo does not have a t3 mine is t25 style flange plus dont they now make a Gt3076r that has a t25 flange instead of the t3 flange and can produce around 500Hp, this may be an option for people that want to keep the stock mani if it flows good numbers with my results as it has a great design so why replace it if it can make good numbers?? Dont get me wrong your product is good im sure, but like Nick was saying lowend torque rules hp in drag raceing.

Thanks,
Matt

there is also the GT3071r-WG (which is a t25 backside) but it wont fit on the stock MSP manifold because it will hit the block badly

How bad - will a little grinding give it the room, or is it a major clearance issue?

Blkzoomzoom, my car looks stock too =)
doesn't have the same amount of power yet ... but soon

MPNick, on the same subject ... i will have to talk to you about pistons/rods this week. My friend who bought the MPI with me said he spoke to you already ... we'd be buying 2 sets. i also need a clutch

PM me when you have a chance. thanks

Can we get a picture of inside the mani from the flange side so we can see how big the runners are from the inside?
Here are some pics. They are not that good but can give you an idea.

Do you have any that are straight down a runner? Where the turbo bolts up, it doesn't look like you machined open the runners yet.Do you have pictures of it machined open? Do you have flow numbers? If so, what are they individually and was it done as a blow thru or draw thru test?

Those are old pictures and yes the ports had not been open then.

I still have to get the results and I will ask the guy who did the tests how they were done.

Is this the same manifold Discreetspeed has from you?

I hear my car is up at Long Branch..My dad took it up...Any of you guys spot in in the lot? I misssss herrrrrr....(Im in Clemson, SC for college without her)

I would love to see a higher res picture of the combustion chamber. NIck, can you take a better pic of that and post it?

so anyway...what is the status of the car as of this moment..Last I heard (IIRC) the ignition system is in and ready you are just having turbo clearance problems? Whats the status and when are you plannin on being on the road?

Ok as far as i know when i spoke to nick he was putting in the intercooler and starting to make the pipeing, he is waiting on the new wastegate and spal fans, if we have no more issues hopefully we can get it on the road this week or early in the week...Nick May have more details..
