I have a 1988 323 GLX 1.5 liter which has oil in the water.
Initialy I thought it was a blown head gasket however there does not appear to be any water getting into the oil which I would expect with a blown head gasket as I would expect any leak of that sort to work both ways.
So are there any other situations that would cause oil to get into the water without it being a blown head gasket.
I should also mention that the car runs perfect even tho there is oil in the water there does not seem to be any loss of power or increase in fuel usage which again I would expect from a blown head gasket.
Now saying that if it is the gasket and I need to replace it does anyone know the tourqe settings for the head bolts on the 1.5 in the 1988 323
