My dealership offers a 250,000 mile/ten year warranty on the internally lubricated engine parts and fuel injectors if you have the oil changed there every 3,000 miles and they use an oil treatment and fuel treatment. It costs an additional $10 for the treatment each oil change. The warranty and treatments are offered by a company called The Protector. The dealership is a 30-minute drive, so I wasnt planning to have it serviced there. Typically I change my own oil or have a local mechanic I trust do it if he has the vehicle there for something else. From what I have read, the turbo would not be covered by the warranty. Is anyone familiar with this warranty? Any thoughts?
