2008 Mazdaspeed 3
I just turned over 20,000 miles on my car and its still running great, and that is with my CAI on for the last 4,000 miles. I've only put Mobil 1 in it and have rotated the tires regularly. I am actually still on the stock tires but I'm going to need to buy new ones with in a month or so (suggestions?). The only problems I've had is I needed to get the radio replaced and that was under warranty and Mazda payed for it.

Anyway, its been running well so far, but is there anything I should start keeping an eye on or looking out after?

Well thanks for the help and here's to another good 20,000 miles.

The Service Maintenance Schedule in your Owner's Manual would be a great place to start ;)

oh damn i see you have an 08.5
i was wondering if you take the radio from an 07-08 in and get it replaced
will they put the mp3 deck in it's place
or if they give you the stock crappy one that only plays cd's :(

i'm at 29k with stock tires still....although i'm already looking at replacements...hankook ventus evo's seem to be highly praised.... and what happened to your radio? is it the volume/bass thing? mine needs to be taken in but i've been lazy, my cd gets stuck when pushing the eject button, so i have to use another cd to kinda force it out....i'm wondering if i take it to the dealer, if they'll replace it with a mp3 compatible one.....

Wow, I could almost have made the same post as the OP. I also turned 20k miles on Labor Day, added an SRI just a few months ago, and have been mostly problem-free, save for a sticking gas cap that was fixed under warranty. (Filler neck, not cap, was the problem) And I've been running Pennzoil Platinum, even though I prefer Mobil 1, because the dealer where I get my oil changes done doesn't carry Mobil 1.

However, I gave in & ordered new wheels & tires before my stock tires wore out completely. Running Yokohama S-Drives, and I have no complaints. Great in wet or dry & among the cheaper Summer performance tires available. S-Drives were also my last 2 sets of tires on my MINI, and they outlasted every other tire I tried on that car.

I can also say from friends' testimonials that the Hankook Ventus Evo V12's are also strong performers, and very affordable.

I started researching tires around 20k and was eyeballing PS2's (or even a set of all-seasons) before I saw this article

S-Drives are a good pick too, very good bang for the buck. I know a couple Subaru drivers who have these.

I'm very fond of the Ventus V12 Evo's because they're pretty quiet yet still perform very well especially in wet conditions. I was always scared of hydroplaning back when I had the stock Potenzas.
