2015 CX-5 Window Gasket Problem

Hi All,

I noticed the window gasket on my 2015 CX-5 driver and front passenger side seems to be loose. When I tried to clear the condensation by lowering the window and raising it again, a section of it is still there because that portion of the gasket is not touching the window, so it can't scrap the moisture off.

Is there a way to fix this myself, or should I just take it to the dealer? I have extended warranty.

Thanks!

This happens on my car too. it also happens on the maxima I am renting. I don't think it's a defect, just a result of the design.

It does not tighten when the window is up. I don't think that's a result of a design though. Isn't the whole point of having those gaskets is to prevent water from entering the doors?

The window gasket isn't meant to be a squeegee, as with all window gaskets. It is to simply protect the innards of the door panel from debris and heavy water intrusion. It doesn't prevent all water from entering into the panel, hence the reason for drain holes in door panels. This applies to all cars.
