Other day my oil light kicked on I checked oil level this morning and there was no oil on the stick. I went and picked up 2 quarts and its at full.
I don't have any leaks engine is clean so is driveway. The exhaust does not appear to be burning oil. But when I drive its all highway about 60miles a day and I drive between 75-95 mph. Is it just the excessive speeding that's causing the oil burn. The 03 P5 has 72K miles and drives perfectly fine

How long ago did you check it before this happened? You might just need to check your oil more often because a perfectly running engine will use a small amount of oil. It still shouldn't use 2 qts between oil changes tho...

I been bad with checking levels lately working to much. Last week it flickered on and off a couple times then was off. My girl was driving it yesterday and light kicked on it exactly two quarts low. I use royal purple 10W 30

These engines may tend to burn oil if you're continuously running high RPMs for an excessive amount of time, though not sure if that's your issue. At speed, you may not notice the burning even though nothing is evident at idle/low speed.

Have you pulled the plugs yet? Check the PCV valve too.

Per the previous post, when was the last oil change?

There are other places oil can go than just exhaust or drip out (cracked head, into the coolant)

s*** don't even being up cranked head don't want to hear that. It should be getting close to changing oil its set on my tripometer. I remember when I changed it last time only like 2 21/2 quarts came out I was a little spooked when I saw that. Guess ill just check everything and change oil then and make sure to keep an eye on levels. I definitely drive a bit excessive I'm not bragging but I work with the state troopers and they'll just smack me on the hand for speeding so my average speed is 85 or 90

I'm just saying there are collectively other places oil can go.

If it's THAT excessive (I have similar mileage and do not burn anywhere near that) I'm just suggesting you need to run a full gamut of checks on the engine. Pulling the plugs, compression, sensors that are in the path (O2, PCV, etc) are a good start.

Yeaa I talked to my uncle he's a service manager at a mitsu dealer he also said check pcv and other things and change the oil and keep an eye on it. I would love to get a new lancer off him with employee discount its still to high for me. Thanks for the help

A bad head gasket would be more likely than a cracked head. Definately check compression if that comes out good then it's probably something minor. Check inside the intake mani. Also if it's slowly leaking into the cylinder then it can burn up and come out the exhaust without you even knowing it. And do what he said ^^
