Maybe I am not driving properly, but man 1st and 2nd give me nothing.

2nd just seems to rev and I feel dead in the water. Its wierd I look down and I am 4k rpms, but I feel like I am sitting still.

Just to keep up with regular traffic, I feel like I have to be going balls out. ..... untill 3rd gear.

Anyone else notice this? Is that that "lack of power" recall? I havent had mine reflashed yet.

If you are driving a Mazdaspeed 6, the ECU regulates the boost in 1st and 2nd gear. It runs 18 psi from the factory but you will see only 70% of that (~12.6 psi) in 1st and 2nd due to the ECU. This is true for all the MZR-powered Mazdas (MS6, MS3, CX-7).

If you're NOT driving a MS6, then don't know what to tell you.

Is this happening when you are driving normal or agressively? because if its agressively then you should take it to mazda, in my car first and second gear feels like I'm being lauched to space!

Normally to mildly spirited I guess. I am still at the tail end of the break in period.

Although last night for some reason, it did feel like a rocket ship.
