16" Wheels

After seeing the very nice blue MSP with the white rims, name escapes me xD. I was wondering what all needs to be modded to get the 16" Wheels to fit?

that car is Justin's, and 16's fit, My winter set of tires are 15s.

But I think the main reason his looks so will with 16s is because of his drop. Otherwise I don't think a 16 would look as good. there would be too much tires showing.
But I agree his car is the sex!!!

justinlansdale or something like that? I don't think you have to do anything to make 16" wheels fit. Right now I'm running my winter setup which is 16" and I didn't have to do anything to fit them on. Your speedo will be off just a bit though.

edit: zuku beat me to it, lol

Ya I went down to a 16" rim also. IMO way better. Much lighter, the car sits lower and just feels better. In order to make them look really good, like Zuku said, its all in the drop and the offset of the wheels.

Wow thanks for the help. Good to know they will fit no problem. And I was planning on grabbing a set of Tien S-tech Lowering Springs with stock shocks, would this give enough drop to make them look good?

ayyy that was me! thanks for the compliments.

i'm running a 16x7" wheel with a 205/40 tire, so the overall diameter is much smaller than the stock racing harts, my speedo is off 5 mph. i LOVE the look of 16's on our cars, although the car has to be dropped super low in order for the car to look right.

the other option is to go the other direction with the tire. I'm going for a 225/50/16 on a 16x8. almost exactly matches the OEM diameter, and fills out the tire well nicely on a light drop.

Yeah justin I Love your car man looks great!

And are the sportlines going to prove to be a better drop than the s-techs? Any opinions?
Btw justin how low is your drop?

16's fit just like any 17's, just need the right offset and your good. I know P5 wheels fit.

well uhh yea, a bigger tire would be the only other option than a getting a smaller one.

my point was both wider and taller, as opposed to shorter and skinnier, but thanks, the smartass remarks are great value added. LOL

look for pics of MSPs with FD wheels and you'll see what I am talking about.

thanks, my drop is 1/2 inch from being as low as i can possibly go on the k-sports haha.

Alright well if I can find a set of White Gram Lights 57Maximum's for a bit cheaper I'm probably going to grab a set of those. Im not too sure on the 16 vs 17, I only plan on buying a set of lowering springs not full coilovers so would the drop from springs be sufficient enough for 16s?

depends on your tire size, i had 195/55/16's on my old set of P5 wheels and i was lowered on s-tech's and it wasn't a bad drop.

I just installed Eibach Sportline's on my MSP today, I'm running 16x7 +35 wheel's that came with 205/40/16 tire's when I bought them. I will take a pic and show you how the drop look's with spring's in a few day's when they settle...

The drop is "ok" not slammed like coilover's but, good enough for me! I do plan on getting a wider/taller tire 215/45's sometime when money allow's. that should help lower the amount of wheel gap some.

Ok that'd be great because I was planing on going with the same size tires 205/40/16. But I might also go 17's if I'm not too fond of how much space is left with the springs.

Pic's are from my phone so their not that great but, you get the idea...

I don't really like the drop it need's moar low!

I think some bigger tire's will help some 205/40's are way too small for a MSP IMO...Also, rim's will be painted in the center's. I'm getting tired of the played out black on black but they came that way when I got them so....
