13 sec. 1/4 mile?

sorry I don't tune my car to be able to run it for 1/4 mile and then go back to an inferiror car once I leave the track. That's the same retarted theory people using Nos live by. "my car can be fast if i push this button but otherwise it's not" . Your car could be fast if you had race gas and crank your mbc up? **** that.

If I'm gonna take my car to 13 seconds my car is gonna be 13 seconds at the track, at the grocery store, and on the way home from giving your grandma some lovin.
lol thats not funny...shes dead!

haha what i ran at the track is daily driven for me....didnt see a point in turnin the boost to 18psi if it was only goin to be once..and not do that on the street.

I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying, you guys are giving our cars too much doubt. And why is it such a big deal if you turn up the boost and add a little race gas? It's still hitting 13's. If you don't drive it that hard on the street, so what. You've got a fast car on the street, and a faster one on the track.

shake the haters off man(mj)

Hey I just have a quick question. Are other cars that the msp is competting with easily able to hit 13's? Such as the type s, gti, spec v, etc.

I'm giving turbo charged piston engines too much doubt. :)

my point on the street vs track thing is you don't make a fast car by turning a knob, hitting a switch, or putting different gas in it. Those that attempt to live with limitations on their car as opposed to someone who makes a faster car.

Anyone can slap on an MBC and make their car faster for one race. Funny SRT story.... coming home from school (in the 7) kicked the s*** out of an SRT. Dude gets to the next light says "yeah if i had my mbc turned up you'd have got your ass spanked" I got him to pull over at the ammoco and crank the s*** up. Ran again, still got his ass kicked. Could he have beat me? Had he had the MBC cranked enough, had race gas, flatened his tires a bit, maybe. But in the end my car was a faster car.

A crackhead from dallas can kick the s*** out of lennox lewis if you gave him some PCP. Does that make the crackhead the heavyweight champion? nah

thus my beef

Srt- yes
spec v- just as much needed
gti- not sure

our difficulty comes in general lack of parts available and the weakness of our turbo (in comparison). 13's shouldnt be hard to hit just depends on how you wanna approach it.

I see your point. My car is at only 10psi though. I count on my mods to pull me to a 13, not a stock motor, race gas and 17 psi.

The Type S should do it fairly easily.
please. I wax my buddy's RSX type S with hp to spare...plus they are pretty maxed out from the factory. No knobs to turn up.

i wasnt talking to you directly when i made those comments.... was just justifying my opinion on telling him to get forged internals as my approach is different than some.

I drive my dad's Type-S fairly often, and it's definately close to my car in acceleration.

Tuning:
The aftermarket is growing rapidly for the RSX. Not as large as the B-Series engine (prior Civics and Integras) but it does have more of an aftermarket than most cars. Considering its only been out for year and half thats pretty impressive. Another thing to note is that the RSX engine responds fairly well to modifications. Spending $900 dollars (Hondata ECU, Cold Air Intake) can get the RSX into the low 14s in the quarter mile.

**** your car is sweet and low!
There is a big difference in HP between low 14s and high 13s I think the RSX just don't have the extra.

There is a kid down here where I live that has a RSX type S with chip, intake, full exhaust, and drag radials thats running 13.6! RSX's can easily run 13s.

Without a LSD he'll soon be able to add ventilated tranny to that list of mods.
